    @@DjMTB76 I like it more than air. The bike is calmer but still pops. It's a super deluxe ultimate coil and it is a 2021 Rallon in XL almost same geometry as the current model in size L. I am 180 cm tall.

  • @patrixdan2661
    @patrixdan2661 Жыл бұрын

    More composed. You have more control but it's not too numb. Every time I switched back to air, i tried to make it feel like the coil. Personally I prefer the coil which allows you to adjust low speed compression. I change those settings depending on the trail.

    @@patrixdan2661 How does it effect climbing and general pedaling? I'm looking to keep my Rallon more versatile then a full on Enduro sled. Thanks again

  • @patrixdan2661
    @patrixdan2661 Жыл бұрын

    @@mdmattmann It climbs good. You can use the lockout and on technical terrain the coil helps with traction. It also depends on the frame size the the saddle height. The higher the worse it climbs. I rode an XL with 180 cm and 85 cm inseam. The seatpost insertion was as low as possible and the saddle pushed as far forward as possible, so that the seat tube angle was maximized.

    Did you used the long travel kit? Air or coil rear shocks?

  • @patrixdan2661
    @patrixdan2661 Жыл бұрын

    I used the short and tested with air + MegNeg and coil. In the end I stuck with the coil. Makes the bike more capable. A 170 mm fork might also help but takes a little bit the versatility away and shortens the reach.

    Nice Video!! How does the bike perform on the fast rough chunky parts?

  • @patrixdan2661
    @patrixdan2661 Жыл бұрын

    Thanks! With the Lyrik ultimate und the superdeluxe coil in back with a 62,5 mm stroke there were no problems on the rougher parts. It lost some speed in the flat parts because the 27,5 back wheel got hung up. On the other side the smaller wheel lowered the bike which felt better in corners and made it more playful. On Friday I rode the the same trail on a ripmo with an air shock and cascade components link and in comparison the Rallon felt better on the rough stuff. More in control and it felt faster.

  • @patrixdan2661
    @patrixdan26615 жыл бұрын

    I really liked it. It jumps very good and has a lot of pop. It feels stable on loose ground (you can watch part 2 or 3 where I ride it on natural trails). The brakes were too weak and when riding steep steps I could feel the bike pushing down towards the valley. This might be a general ebike issue. Other than that I was really happy with it and couldn't stop riding it.
