The tech word has been trying to get away from the old master-slave terminology. Like slave servers have become replicas or the master branch on git is now also called main. Looks like Ableton has picked up on this trend. Why is it main instead of master? Throughout many technology companies there has been a movement to eliminate divisive language in favor of non-divisive language, this includes eliminating the use of terms that were inappropriately and offensively taken from slavery including the elimination of the term master in favor of main.

I'm only one hour in and have learnt more about not only Ableton, but also cords and melodies than I have in the past 6 months of scouring youtube for something like this. Thank you so much this is life changing. 🥰🥰🙏🙏 P.S. to the people in the comments saying that the sample pack are needed, I really don't think that is the case, you can use similar samples included in Ableton or even bring in some hardware synths ect...

Just started watching the video. Many companies are replacing the term "master" with "main", because the master word, back in the days, was used by the slaves to refer to their "owners". So, for ethical reasons, companies prefer to use the term main, where master was used.

You are just gold my guy and I appreciate you if no one has ever told you.
