I think the first person to cook pounded yam didn’t have a kettle. Why put 4 cups of water into the pot when you can just put 3 cups and use hot water from the kettle to add if needed??? Ninja for you 🇳🇬😅

I’ve been to the same restaurant in Brampton in which the owner sells the chin chin. I’ve tried it and loved it. I’m Guyanese and my husband is Yourba/Nigerian, and from someone who isn’t Nigerian the chin chin she sells is yummy( a great snack) The owner herself is a nice person and friendly.

I gave the lady at my local Nigerian food store the biggest smile when I, being the palest of English girls, went in and asked for Pounded Yam flour, I definitely made a new friend and found a great new store! Thank you so much for bringing these recipe techniques to everyone who loves them or like me, cant wait to try them! 😍xx
