  Honestly I was a little disappointed with how they handled this one. They absolutely killed it in terms of performance but from an arrangement standpoint there are a few creative choices that were different from the original and not in a good way. I will say it gets better at 0:54 and I'm really happy about that. The problem is mastering of volume between the parts as the harpsichord is drowned out by everything else despite needing to be the main focus (see 0:29, 1:26, and 2:15 for reference) and the drums. For some reason the drop has the drums doing a SWING RHYTHM?!? It completely distacts from what is supposed to be an intense and impressive moment and just leaves me feeling confused. I was kind of hoping this would be even better than the already amazing original track but i guess I'll just stick to listening to the original.

  I read the theory that Basil's "angry" looks so silly because that's how Sunny has always perceived him. Maybe he had trouble allowing himself to be angry, or specifically swallowed his anger around Sunny.

  I unironically think that both versions are really cute. The old sprite looks more like he's just being friendly (no surprise there, and hey! It works) the newer sprite gives more.. Idk how to describe it, it seems more like hes trying to distract you with his adorable smile!
