I Am one does sound out place but it does grow over time. Cold light of morning reminds me off working in a pub, finish work at 11pm, then get wasted, do ectsacy or coke all night then plaster on a fake smile and try to get through the following day. Song To Say Goodbye, it breaks my heart, reminds me off love lost and then parts of my personality lost because of this. Thanks for doing this series! It's great to have someone talk about music they love instead of people doing fake first reactions to songs that everyone knows.

I know how you feel. It's weird every time I think about that. But I guess our parents and grandparents feel the same way as we do now. Yeah, I love that version of Snail. Especially since I love Deftones and Chino Moreno's voice. I wish Billy would collaborate with Chino again.
I don't remember Blind at all, the version you played sounds great. Pierrot the Clown feels like a friendship tht you can't give up. It's the other person that's damaged but you can't give up on them.
That slow acoustic version of Blind is a favorite. I think it fits the song better than the original, but I also love the original version. Now, what you said about Pierrot the Clown feeling like a friendship you can't give up is pretty on point. I've always felt like this song was about a toxic friendship. But I guess it can be about any toxic abusive relationship. It's a pretty sad song.
Post Blue is abot those relationships where drug and alcohol dependecy is the glue of the relationship, Because I Want You seems like the ending of that relationship.
It does seem that he's talking about one relationship in this album and its different phases and faces.
I#ve always heard Space Monkey as a love song, it's like a reminder of his first failed love. You are right about their tunings, they drive me mad when learning their songs. Great clip of Brian and Stefan! Follow The Cops could fit on the debut album, Just one more round before we're through,More psychedelic yuppie flu. Simple but beautiful.
Yeah, I've always listened to Space Monkey as a heartbreak song, much like Leni. Or the continuation of it. That idea always made sense in my mind. Regarding Follow the Cops, I'd never thought about it like that. I guess you're right. It would definitely fit in their first album.
Infra Red is a classic musically but Drag is more relatable.

Hi, looking forward to this, I still have their first cd with the slower version of Nancy Boy. Their new album is like a return to what they do best. Saw rhem first live in 98 in London, wasn't the best performance but the coolest audience. Will post again once the final part is watched.
Hey! Thanks so much for enjoying this series. It's been really cool reading all your comments. I didn't have the chance to see them live until 2005, when they finally came to Brazil for their Once More With Feelings tour and it was pretty clear they were not happy to be on tour at that time. But they eventually came back in 2007 with the Meds tour and did a great show. I also got to see them again in 2014, and I had a blast.
