    Makita sells tools that will outlive you! Notice I didn't say they made tools. Most tools, irrespective of the name on them, are made in China. I'm bothered by the fact that, as with all the tools in this video, the "manufacturers" do a great job of talking them up but do little to demonstrate the processes that result in statements such as "Precision machined tip" etc..

    Some commercial buildings won't allow for the random shut down of power at any time, especially hospitals & clinics. Also, these testers are so much faster than randomly going panel to panel floor to floor trying to locate a circuit.

    Although another commenter criticized the ballast tester due to LEDs current prevalence, I still have very many customers with fluorescent lighting. My only criticism of this tool is that you keep trying to sell us on the extension saying that no ladder is needed and yet every single video segment has the hinged lens opened on the fixture.

  • @MrNightro
    @MrNightro2 жыл бұрын

    Parabolic 2x4 & 2x2 grid light fixtures don't require opening of the fixture to test so in those situations a ladder wouldn't be required. Also not required for testing fluorescent pot lights.

    @@MrNightro In order to fix the problem you need to get your ladder anyway so what exactly is the point then? M a y b e if you are just the inspector type that doesn't actually fixes anything.

    @@Slim08151 If you're doing a plant or office building & have a number of fixtures to fix. You do a walk around first noting what each fixture requires. You then have an idea of the required materials beforehand. Seeing as a lot of businesses request quotes before approving jobs it helps cut down time doing the quotes.
