Sauna Open Air most of the time is a more laid-back festival, especially before the main event. In this case, it would seem there were a lot bigger bands performing there too, like Five Finger Death Punch. A lot of people only waddle in when the big names come. Even though he's literally one of the best metal singers ever, he can't beat FFDP alone 😄 I'm sure I would have loved to be there.

Its painful to hear it . I am a empath . He is not telling the full truth about his health or his happiness . Nightwish , did the right thing employing Jukka on the bass. Get better Marko. Your still not well.

In an interview I saw, he didn't exactly say that he is well but he is getting there. He got new diagnosis (aside depression), new medication and regular therapy sessions. Hiring Jukka was absolutely good decision. Especially since Marko has said he'd never want to be back in a band that keeps touring for months, that's too much for him.

Of course he's not well. His mental problems go way back. You can see it in older videos and interviews. This stare, this awkward silence or stuttering when he doesn't know what to say are pretty indicative. And I'm not sure full recovery is even possible at his age. Remember, he's 56. He's tired. He's been in music for 40 years. He doesn't want to tour and perform in front of a huge crowd anymore. He still likes to play and sing, but he does it just for fun now. As a bassist he's been successfully replaced. As a vocalist, of course not, we miss his voice and charisma. But he sure as hell ain't coming back, and we have to accept it. But all of it is nothing compared to what happened to Floor.

Whatever it takes for him to be healthy and happy. The joy he has given to me earned my support in anything that achieves that goal. Do I wish he was still in Nightwish ... who doesn't? But if that leads to issues for him, I'm happy for him to reach his goals.
