Step 1 to 7 dont force experimental medical procedures onto your employees and then wonder why there is an increase in employee disengagement forever. You reap what you sow.

Excellent strategies and concepts in running a company. Honest portrayal of the cyclical nature of many phases of the business. Willing to sell non-performing divisions. Looks like a great company.

Nothing will change if you cannot overcome the bocking that occurs from the politics, culture, and siloed groups. Look at what has happened for the past few decades; the EE/EX needle has yet to move despite the exponential growth of EE/EX/HR tools and spending. Obviously, something is wrong; it's the elephant in the room, HR has the responsibility and none of the authority. They are in an impossible position. CEOs know this also; that's why CHROs/CPOs don't have an engagement component in their compensation plans. What a disaster that would be.

One does not need a degree to be hired as a DIE consultant to ensure as few straight white men are hired as possible. A groundhog could do this.

This has been the biggest waste of my time. In Indiana several agencies stupidly use this and some have actually wasted time investing in using the agency that oversees this to do Leadership Academy with their organization. I had unfortunately gone to the leadership academy that my agencies sent me to that had a curriculum based off of this organizations info. It was beyond lame it did not prepare you for being in an actual leadership position. What I truly despise the about being in this Leadership Academy was that I did not focus on understanding systemic barriers that an organization might have due to adversity at the mezzo or macro level. It did not talk about adjusting to logistic coordination to meet staff needs. It did not talk about how to modify yourself as a leader to serve different purposes such as being an ambassador, being an advocate, being a coach, and being a teacher. It did not talk about providing leadership to individuals whose field you're not an expert in for example if you're working as a therapist and apply to be in a leadership position is the training going to be able to properly prepare you to supervise someone working in IT, HR , Finance , public relations and prepare you to supervise other therapist? It did not prepare you to adjust to being prepared to make modifications when working with individuals in leadership positions that hold less credentials in yourself ( licensure, education, ability to speak another language) . From an even superficial standpoint if it wasn't going to prepare you with the core content it should have at least prepared you to be more marketable to say that if you had two individuals with pretty much identical resumes and one completed that Leadership Academy and the other didn't that that would be enough of a leverage to justify giving that person the position. A good part of being a leader is logistic coordination understanding maintenance, accountability, focusing on longevity, focusing on sustainability as well as assuming the many roles of being a leader. This organization did not do that

KSA or DIE. If you’re a government worker or a veteran that has applied for a government job your qualifications are based upon: KSA = Knowledge, Skills, Ability. DIE = Diversity, Inclusion, Equity (Equity is not the same as Equality) does nothing to prove an individual’s Knowledge, Skills and Ability to do the job. If a company feels compelled to add a DIE hiring manager or change their company logo to rainbow colors to pander to the LGBTQ group or DIE group, it’s perceived as patronizing and thus that company may be suspect or actually guilty of past discriminatory hiring practices. The bottom line…any Federal, State, public or private company that discriminates against a person’s race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, economic status, veteran status or disability is in violation of State and Federal employment laws. Teach your children well.

This was a very helpful and quick video. The host was great, not sure who she is but she is engaging and has a great pace. And at 4:10, I love that the person speaking was saying do not "try to wish things away and pretend they are not happening", as her child was playing with the family dog in the background. Welcome to work at home in 2020, Covid-19 style. Stay safe!

When my daughter was an infant, she was taken by ambulance from one hospital to Boston Children's because she was too sick for the first hospital to handle. Seeing my baby in the ICU hooked up to all those machines was heartbreaking and I cried A LOT, but to be honest, I immediately felt like she was in such good hands at Boston Children's. The employees were amazing. Thank you, Sandra, for building such an A+ hospital.
