Mirrly on Time Watch Reviews
I love watches, everything about them, and this is where I unbox and talk about em. On this channel I deal specifically with the budget watch market, for the most part, watches that you can get for up to $300 but occasionally I'll have more expensive pieces in.

Cool dial but boy how could they come up with such bad legibility of the time?
Ahhhhh good catch cedar will be one of my gripes, it would have been great to have all applied indexes at the five minute markers around the dial instead of just 12 3 and 9, along with the miniute track that would have that issue solved and applied indices are always nice.
That's a dope looking Armitron! Like a budget mudmaster
@@SpaceG95 yeah def g shock vibes on this for sure without the negative display and the bunch o dollars more haha
Chris.... Invicta makes an awful LOT of watches, and MOST are ugly and repulsive, but they do make a few nice watches too. And you managed to find three pretty nice ones.
@@Marty4650 I filled the box! Def they have some big and ugly watches but I do like big watches and am very pleased with the ones that I got (8 of em now!)
You make a lot of sense. When someone reviews a watch, they are actually doing some work. When they just provide a list of "watches I am watching" they are just fishing for commissions through affiliate links. It is borderline dishonest. This irks me as much as those "Watch me reacting to someone else's video" which just means someone else did all the work, and I get all the hits and KZread payments when all I did was roll someone else's videos, and throw in a few personal comments of my own.
@@Marty4650 yes true that Marty thanks for the insights!
Very cool timepiece. Having different beaches around the world is dope. I'd definitely rock this bad boy!
@@Trapvision3D it’s very cool thanks Travis!
I've seen this brand on INSTAGRAM
@@Trapvision3D yep!
Have to agree Chris. This is definitely cool and quirky. This is exactly what microbrands should be about. Making unique and out there designs that are not for everyone, but perfect for someone. In terms of the watch itself, I think the choice of making it a 38 is perfect for the retro vibe. Dimension-wise, I think this would be a tad better with a bigger strap. I would not be surprised if this is one of those rare cases that should come with 19mm lugs. The only thing I don't like in terms of design is the side profile of the watch. Usually not a fan of slab sided cases.
@@AnCar88 could not agree with you more Andrei. I will mention I would prefer a 20mm band over the 18 but that’s just personal preference so not really a criticism per se. And yes, I love how you put it, not perfect for everyone but perfect for someone, spot on
Super cool looking watch. I had not seen it before.
@@WATCHingJames definitely the coolest watch I’ve seen in a while!

The dial design is beyond awesome. Among the three design, this one is my favorite. Their chronographs and dive watches seem fun also. Thanks and looking forward to the full review.
I agree I love this watch. What’s your opinion on the price?
@@MirrlyonTime It’s a little high. I think $400 is about the limit. HOWEVER, I have always been a strong proponent of paying for good design.
@@adk7962 he is going to give me a 40 off coupon code for my viewers to pass along during the review so it will be 397 USD and regular price for me as a Canadian was 619 bucks! Ouch. Doing a watchu talkin bout re why being a Canadian watch collector sucks lolol

I have brought watches from ebay and the seller is a you tube reviewer actually twice from two different reviewers , both watches had wonderful reviews you would think they were the best watches ever , but one of them had a dodgy crown and one of them has some quality issues not mentioned in the review. Even tho reviewers tell you that they are giving honest reviews and don't hold back from criticism of the watch , in reality they are not always being as honest as you would think and also defiantly do not wear the watch much they just take it out the box film the video and sell it immediately and tell you its good so they can get that affiliate link %. I wont name the reviewers because that's not my point my point is they are less of a review and more like ab advert like on a home shopping channel , so take all reviews with a little bit of suspicion
I hear you completely m8 if I can’t recommend a watch I would definitely not sell it and a san martin watch that had a strange crown issue I disclosed, and double checked with the buyer that he read it in description and saw my video on it before he made the purchase. My next watch I’m reviewing I’m wearing for a week, already have noticed a couple of gripes about it but nothing major but will highlight in my review. In one sense you are absolutely correct a lot of KZreadrs don’t have long term interaction with a watch before filming a review so definitely watch as many reviews on it as you can for sure. Thanks Paul!
The SN017GB are the ones to get, once you go above that you're closing in on Tissot pricing for a Chinese homage. After that the bracelet and clasp gets thicker. Next level you get a better bracelet and Rolex style clasp but the bezel might not be aligned properly, it might not have a good finish, and you're still rocking an NH34,35, 36. So then you look at SW200 and it's time to buckle you in for the ride into clown world.
@@dank5015 buckle in for the ride to clown world, brilliant lol. Thanks for the insight dan

Mate, you buying copied designs, it’s the same as fake
Actually it isn't. As long as it isn't replicating the trademarks, it isn't a fake or a counterfeit. And if you think copying a design makes something a fake, then just remember that all the big brands do it too. In fact, many people think the Rolex Submariner is "too heavily based" on the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms watch that preceded it. If you doubt me, then just look at them side by side.
@@Marty4650 I take your point🫡, but I hate the fact that the larger brands copy others design…. It’s like that worked well, we will do it to. Might as well sack the design team at the same time
It's good to see a fair review of a quartz diver. Comparing the build quality to the more expensive PD was unexpected and shows the value you're getting in the Addiesdive quartz. Yes, it's quartz but for me that's an advantage as the time is always within a few seconds of the actual, I can set my quartz watches aside for days or months without fussing over resetting the time- set it and forget it. Subscribed :)
@@RonsTremoloHarmonica-lh4fq thank you Ron, I got some flack for comparing a quartz to an auto but it wasn’t that kind of comparison, I was really after the over all fit and finish of the watches, or mainly value for dollar spent and addies dive have some real killer value for dollar spent offerings I’ll be getting another quartz one soon. Thanks for the comment and for subscribing m8!
To play Devil's Advocate: 1. AliExpress affiliate links are now all clearly disclosed in KZread videos. 2. The KZread watch reviewers that make thier livings providing content (100K+ subscribers) need to produce 3 to 6 videos per week, and reviewing that many watches with fully editing the videos is nearly impossible. If a reviewer is familiar with a brand because they have reviewed several other Sea-Gull, Steeldive, Tandorio, or San Martin Watches, it really isn't a problem for them to call out new releases or top sellers, even if they are yet to produce a full review. 3. More problematic is a constant stream of positive reviews, wherein the reviewer is afraid to point out major flaws for fear the brand or seller will cut off further free review items.
@@PlugInRides thanks plug-in very good points! I appreciate the feedback m8 and please subscribe to the channel as well! Your thoughts are always welcome here

@@gregthurman8108 can’t go wrong check out my most recent video! I feature another one that is perfect for summer
Really Chris? The most eye popping thing was the white? Not the humongousness of the thing? To be fair, it looks cool on your wrist. Sort of a roid rage version of a Gshock good :) You do have a soft spot for white watches. You are right though, the difference in tone between the band and the case is quite noticeable. The fact that the analog seconds fall out of sync with the digital seconds is quite weird. Not sure what could cause that apart from a defect. I am not sure why the analogue and the digital time keeping would be different.
Hahaha Andrei, you made my point the humongousness of the thing, well it’s all white! But yeah, I do like the size as well, I love a large watch. And not sure about the fact that the analog seconds hand won’t stay synced with the digital, at least not sure why. Def has shock vibes without the negative display.
I see those at Walmart all the time, it’s fine for a budget working man’s watch it kinda looks like a g shock.
How much do they sell em at Walmart for? Def has some g shock vibes without the negative display
@@MirrlyonTime like $30, I think not sure if that exact one is there though.

@@whit107 this one is big and not for everyone for sure whit, thanks for watching and for your honesty, appreciate your support m8
Theres also a point of sustainability for a watch content creator, once they get to the point of monetisation on YT, affiliate links and the causal promoted videos is that they are not going to hang onto all of their watches that they feature so they would end up selling the ones they bought from AliExpress onto places like ebay as an example.

I love when a watch reviewer comments, “they reached out to me”
@@c.s2001 well it’s true, I am new to being an aliexpress influencer as they reached out to me. Not sure how long I will be on it though. I have one wafch on the way that I am super excited to highlight where I reached out, fantastic looking watch by a microbrand in the US
I'm genuinely impressed with how close amzwatch were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.
I always take any watch "review" with a huge grain of salt. I don't expect any watch reviewer to be making these videos purely from the goodness of their heart. Ain't nobody got time for that. But I do appreciate being shown new watches I'd have probably never discovered on my own. If I'm interested, then I'll dig deeper. Sometimes, I get more information from the comments than from the review. I think it was from the comments section of some video that first exposed Benyar watches for actually being alloy rather than the claimed stainless.
@@michaelhorn8962 yes great points Michael! Whenever you purchase something you neee to do your research. I do pride myself in giving honest reviews even if the watch is free, which it seldom is for me but it won’t be long before I am able to get some more in the magic number seems to be 5k subscribers. Check out this video of a watch that was sent to me for free, and the initial unboxing comments revealed it was a drop ship of an addies dive model. I offered to return the watch (my cost) to the owner as I knew bringing up the info would hurt his brand. His nasty reply prompted me to do this video…. How Some Microbrands Are Ripping You Off!! kzread.info/dash/bejne/maaWyKqvftSvmZs.html
Couldn't you also start a channel by getting watches from Amazon? (Free returns!)
@@michaelhorn8962 I have never thought of it that way Michael, now that is something to ponder, although I’m sure they would be quick to catch on :) thanks for watching m8
@@MirrlyonTime Amazon might not send you free watches to review, but they ALSO have an affiliate program that pays you for every order placed through the link you post. And some people make a pretty good living this way. Buy something, review it, post a link, and get paid. Of course, this works best with larger channels since the more subscribers you have the more likely that more orders will be placed. And if enough of your subscribers make orders, then it really doesn't matter what you paid for the watch.
@@Marty4650 true Marty but I believe Michael was suggesting buying the watch, reviewing and it returning it since Amazon has such a good return policy hehe, as I said to him wouldn’t take long for them to catch on
I have been paying attention to alot of these. Im a novice and More of an Eco Drive Wearer. I am looking into these for modding and time burning. thanks for the thorough review. PD is lower than when you recorded the video, I think its due to competition from the other homage makers.
@@jesuscorrea5513 would be a great watch to fidget with for sure as you wouldn’t overly mind mistakes on a watch like this. Eco drives are awesome! The prices on these fluctuate all the time and should be lower given the watch is a couple years old and the nh gmt movement is now in a boat load of gmts def more expensive when the movement first came out. It is actually hard to go wrong with Casio. They make excellent watches, and most are very affordable. My own "three Casios" are one G-Shock and two Casio Duros. And I own over a hundred watches. Every collection should have at least three Casios in it!
For me personally, I don't mind being shown watches that the watch reviewer is watching. I actually like this. I like being made aware of watches that I'm not aware of. I don't care if the reviewer has actually handled the watch or not. I just want to be made aware of new watches and then I'll decide whether to buy it or not.

@@imaginekarma8582 ahhhh yes! Very true. Seen those too
It's the prestige brands that are bending people over. Through designed scarcity and giving them away to celebrities they create fake value when they could sell the watch for far less without all their bullshit. I heard Rolex outsourced all their tooling to China a few years back which went out the backdoor. In the 1970s a rolex was like 200 bucks before they went up exponentially in the 80s where it was seen as a measure of success to have one.
Truth! Rolex are great watches but waaaaay too inflated for what they are
Personally I like homage watches to be as close to the watch they are based off of as possible
@@nicknewman9926 definitely a polarizing opinion on these but I agree with you
