Always plowing through obsolete and forgotten media to preserve what might otherwise be lost to time! Also whatever the hell I feel like posting, like showing my equipment and what-not.
I have just added a Donate button- you aren't obligated to donate but I would greatly appreciate it as I am just one person doing everything here. I have spent obscene amounts of money on some of my equipment and getting it serviced just so I can bring you the highest-quality transfers, I spend a lot of money on some of the media I acquire also. I certainly deserve donations more than many of the higher-profile KZreadrs who ask for donations- many of them have the balls to ask for money and then ruin their videos with onscreen logos! I never do that, and I always upscale everything to the proper frame rate which only a few other users do.
But more than money, I am always looking for more off-air TV recordings from 1984 or earlier on VHS or Beta to feature here, and I can provide quality DVD copies!

Yacht Rock before it was recognized as yacht Rock.
I graduated from DHS in 1980. Last night, my son, who is a senior at DHS, was looking for footage of Mr. Brunelle conducting orchestra and found this footage.
Oh the memories! LOVED this as a child. Sunday nights were always Disney nights on CBC in Canada.
7:07 The Grill 😂
Harry Holcombe as the old man.
Cheap paint jobs. When I was a teenager, my dad gave me his old used car as my first car. It was a piece of junk, but it ran. Took it to Earl Scheib. They didn't bother to wash the car before painting it. They painted right over the dirt, and you could tell by how rough the paint was to the touch. Anyway, that was their business model.
Should’ve stuck it out with MASH and do movies on the side with Woody Allen
Stephen Collins in the first Johnson and Johnson commercial
Funny how the tables have turned, todays “conservatives” are mirroring Shana’s doom and gloom points now and Jack’s hopeful ones sound just like Joe Biden.
1:36 Nice yo see an old ad for something I own. Don't have the auto winder though.
What a beautiful upload. Thank you!!
Interesting that of all the stage musicals and scenes they could’ve included on this demo disc, they went for the orgy dance sequence from “Pippin”!
This likely first aired on July 4, 1977 as part of TBS's "Monday Roadshow." The commentator here is Masahiro Ogi, a film critic who appeared on the program from 1970 to 1988 (the year of his passing).
Thanks, I’ll have some commercials from this up shortly.
So this is after they caught Paul stealing the office supplies
Was 'National Media Services' a post-production facilities house?
I take it this means you finished all the DVD demo discs you have. That's too bad, I was hoping for some by other non-inventing manufacturers. (Samsung, Sharp, JVC, Yamaha, Mitsubishi, etc.)
I have a couple later discs from Sony and Toshiba from 1998-99 which I’ll do eventually, never saw any from those other companies. As I mentioned, there was a demo disc from RCA that I still haven’t been able to find.
Wow, this is extremely weird. It looks like a generic demonstration, as opposed to a real product. Would love to know the story behind this.
This video has the retro power! Cool colors and textures
Sacramento has a history of having TV anchors that have short stints in the area and once those talent gets moved to the top 10 TV Markets then they become legends in the top 10 TV Markets. It's interesting to see Kaity Tong is forgotten in Sacramento mainly because she has 40 years of covering the biggest events in New York that made her time in Sacramento forgotten. Its like when I seen airchecks of Terry McSweeney, Susan Blake, Pete Wilson and Gary Radnich time in Sacramento and they are easily forgotten because of them going next door to the Bay Area TV Stations and being legends there. Or Tony McEwing, Susan Hirasuna, David Ono, Ellen Lleyva they had stints in Sacramento but is easily forgotten given how big they became when they went to Los Angeles.
Some of these promos got reused in KCPQ Seattle. This is given Kelly Broadcasting owns KCPQ and KCRA at that time. Also its interesting to see Kaity Tong on KCRA in this clip before the New York Stations got her and became a legend there.
Jet Li from Black Mask(1996) is armed with killer CD's.
DVD Disc. MPEG-2. 4.7 GB.
Early DVDS stunk and weren't much better than Laserdiscs and in my opinion Laserdiscs are cooler.
GEILER SONG😎🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🇩🇪👍

Naahhh... DVD is way too action-packed for that.
“… back to the kitchen.” ?? YIKES!!
I hope y’all will reply to this 7 years later I bought my first DVD player it was a Sylvania VCR/DVD combo
No sound, just B-Roll? How odd. Our looptapes had sound when I was a Disney Store Cast Member, just a few years after this. Fascinating!
I remember being so disappointed when I saw the first DVD players when I was a kid... For some reason the stores in my area appeared to always show action movies (or demo discs with segments from action movies, I don't know), full of explosions, rapid movements... and compression artifacts. I had only recently experienced Laser Discs for the first time and thought DVDs were inferior!
Sick demo. Love the music. Also, the picture quality itself looks like it was taken straight out of a Laserdisc or videotape of some sort.
Pioneer DVD Demo disc Yay I had that one. 👍😎

SKAGGS!!!!
I think people spend too much time comparing it to his work on M*A*S*H and not enough time analyzing it for what it is. For what it is, I think it's a good start, I'd have loved to see more.
