  It is a tough position to be in as a Case Manager. It’s actually heavy work that takes a toll on the individual and isn’t valued and compensated accordingly in our society. And sadly it is the most valuable thing in our community at large and something that would greatly benefit our nation. But hats off to this gentleman for doing the work that he did, I recognize it’s value and importance and wish him luck on his next steps!!

  My uncle used to work at a refinery where tankers came to get the gas that they would delivery to the station and according to him, they had three grades of gas and all the truck from all the different companies all got the same gas.

  RON (recommended knock index) or AKI (Anti-knock index) is literally just the fuels resistance to ignition under compression. Higher performance cars have generally higher compression and require a higher octane fuel to withstand the fuel breaking down under compression and pre-igniting or causing engine 'knocking'. Regarding better economy, there's little to no data that suggests that premium increases gas mileage on any car and premium, or if it does in no substantial way to make it financially viable due to it's increased RRP. Fuel companies (like many companies) are great at marketing things that you don't actually need.

  Putting premium gas in a car that doesn't need it is a huge waste of money. I might change mechanics if yours believes that

  Chemical engineer told me you’re fine using regular in a premium car. Do what you want though.

  If the car literally calls for premium (usually turbocharged cars and other high compression engines) it requires the higher octane so the burn or "detonation" in the cylinder doesn't happen prematurely. It can effect timing and turn your check engine light on.
