Pretty tall drink she pours for S.Z. “Cuddles” Sakall’s character at the end of this clip. lol (looks like Dimple Pinch scotch, you can tell by the unique 3 sided bottle)

"we will raise a family - a boy for you and a girl for me" This one line demonstrates just how much progress we have made as a society in terms of gender norms. Back in Doris' Day - 😏 - females had no choice but to be dainty and submissive and boys were conditioned to be forceful and oppressive and treat women like their property. I still cringe when i watch the old films, as they got sooo much wrong about gender expression and norms. They didn't keave any room for the individual. They were all just bots. Mindless bots of the patriarchal system. If the political right had it their way then women would still be in the kitchen today and women would not be enjoying the rights and freedoms they do today. And we wouldn't have the lovely only fans that brings so much joy to a young mans heart ❤ lmao

Picture you upon my knee Just tea for two and two for tea Me for you and you for me alone Nobody near us To see us or hear us No friends or relations On weekend vacations We won't have it known, dear That we own a telephone (oh, I hate telephones) (yeah, me too) Day will break and you'll awake And start to bake a sugar cake For me to take To all the boys to see Oh, we will raise a family A boy for you, a girl for me Oh, can't you see How happy we would be? We will raise a family A boy for you, six little girlies for me Can't you see How happy we would be?

When my great grandparents were alive, this was their song. When my Nana was in the hospital, before she passed away, my great grandpa sang tea for two for her. It was really emotional and it made a lot of people cry, though I wasn’t there while she died, the thought is still sad. My great grandpa lived a few years longer, and he was always depressed. He missed her and he never wanted to do anything other than see her again. He peacefully passed away December 2nd, 2023; a week before my birthday. All he wanted was to see her again. Although I am atheist, I do hope that whatever is out there, whatever happens, that they can reunite again and be happy. They were married for over 75 years. It’s a sad but also beautiful story. And so, on his funeral, instead of everyone being super sad, they celebrated his life, and how long he lived. They were buried next to each other. What they had was so special and I hope I can find a man or woman like that.

A fine story, you share with us! I either don.t know, if there.s heaven or hell, but for people like your grandparents I believe, that there is a place together somewhere!! 👍

It's a shame she made no effort to have a relationship with her only grandson and only living blood relative. She projected the grudge she had for his mother onto him. He was a child caught in the middle of a divorce. Her pettiness caused both of them to loose out. She may have been controlled at the end but this was not the case in her earlier senior years." She chose the "be" in the "what ever will be will be," How sad.
