    You not gonna grease them wheel bearings before you replace them seals?

  • @BradenBuildz

    They aren’t supposed to be greased. The gear oil in transaxle is what lubricates them.

    Absolute BS to host an auction and put reserves on everything.. It's the auctioneer's own fault for poor turnout and bids, they have all the time in the world to advertise

    Salut mon Steel!

    Very interesting video. I considered one of those old Kubota tractors, but the small size made me a bit hesitant. It looks a bit unstable especially in a slope, which I have a lot. Great rejuvenation of a classic. Great job!

    Always repack your bearings with grease, you can do it old school, Or you can buy a bearing buddy, Rotation Hand Bearing Packer Tool, Inject Bearing Grease into Bearing, I like old school the best you can see all the grease going to all the parts of the bearing. And watch all the old grease coming out! Always run your wires close to the frame, that way you want rip them out. Other than that, I thank you done a great job! Keep up the good work

  • @lwwarren
    @lwwarren2 күн бұрын

    Great job but you're putting too much tension on those wire joints and not enough support on the wires. They'll pull free or break after enough time and road vibration.

    Don’t do it the way I did it. I unlocked mine like this because I saw signs that it had been over heated and it would need rebuilt anyways. If it’s locked from sitting out some marvel mystery oil or atf innit and let it sit awhile. Then start moving it back and forth slowly and try to work it free

    It would have been a good idea to put some lube in the cylinders before all that cranking.

  • @BradenBuildz
    @BradenBuildz4 күн бұрын

    Yes but not as bad as you think. Oil pressure builds while cranking not just by running. The only damage done was the first few rotations after that oil pressure should have been up. Damage very minimal and probably unmeasurable.

  • @stevenmoore2514
    @stevenmoore25144 күн бұрын

    I also said damage is most likely immeasurable. Meaning next to none. If you want me to put on a lab vest and some gloves and do everything by the book your on the wrong channel.

    Be careful when working on old equipment with Dayton style rims like that. If it was made some time in the 50s-70s it may have split rims, which are prone to failure given their old age nowadays, and when they fail they essentially explode and can kill you when you remove them from the hub. The rims are nationally outlawed due to so many people being hurt and killed, and have been properly labeled widow maker rims. The ones you have don't look to be split rims, but its still good knowledge to have

    I have the same machine, M-610, that I bought new in 1975. Still have it and still running strong. The only thing I’ve done to the engine besides points and spark plugs is head gaskets. Those Wisconsin VH 4D engines are great. I just repainted it and you can still get the original decals for it online.
