  This is wild… before any mods were even out… I saw that this was possible… but I used a mini dremmel and a soddering iron and carefully sculpted the actual plastic that came with the fx3 down to fit the original design babyliss blade. It happened to be the gold fx but the best blade set I ever had until my son dropped it was b.Clarks custom Koncreate cerakote baked graphite 2.0 blade… I am going to try to replicate a cerakote baked H series coated blade baked at 300f for one hour… it should work

  If possible. Leave the cutting blade flat on the comb blade so the rectangular screws don't fall out.

  @@daryncook question on the special fx blade $58 what is mainly the difference one from Babyliss fx trimmer blade? And in the future when blade needs sharpening professionally will be have to set a particular way? I'm thinking of getting one

  The babyliss blade is sloppy as heck. My ECM blade is a little tighter and quieter. And lightly sharpened and precision gapped.

  @@daryncook Got that but does it cut better? I have the Andis T Outliner cordless and I use it to cut the area around my bald spot every day or two since I had SMP done. It stopped cutting correctly after just over a years use and started pulling. I cleaned it up and adjusted the blades but all it will do is cut my beard. I was thinking of going this route but wasn't sure if it cut better or something. For now I am using my 5 year old corded wahl balder but just in case I want to travel I'd like to use the Andis. Thanks!

  Yeah. Controversy with the andis blade vs the babyliss blade. I think the. Babyliss is a night and day difference .
