  One step on that dress and she would have been in just her drawers, haha! She was doing her best to hold it up but c'mon, you are supposed to try on the dress beforehand. It seems like none of this was rehearsed.

  Dolly sang it best imo but I prefer the emotion in the song and how she almost feels like she is going to break down because her love is still so raw. However Whitney is equal to dolly because of the power but hers sounds more like a “I’m not over you but I’ll be okay”. Everyone else who copies Whitney’s version tend to try to match the power, the range and the technique but they miss out and forget about the emotion and meaning behind the words. Jennifer Hudson and Yolanda Adams come a close joint second because they do include emotion and make it their own also. But for me Dolly just comes out on top. Nobody can truly mean the words to a song than those who wrote it.

  Only HER and Cynthia came correct. This song requires clarity and gentleness not vocal gymnastics. Jessica the worst with NC and Whitney a terrible second. So It's H.E.R or Cynthia for me. I of course discount the Queen herself as her vocals and timbre are incomparable!!!

  Honestly, all the ladies are good. Fantasia is just my favorite period. But the truth be told, all these ladies are different, therefore all will communicate the song different. They can never be the same. Truly they are all talented. Some just more vocally trained than others. Even so, their voices are different and their stories behind the song are different, you will connect to whomever you feel the most or like the most. Props to all these ladies.

  Fantasia did an amazing job and had sooooo much soul behind her version, but Cynthia Erivo is on another level. The tears i shed everytime i listen to her version 😭 besides her emotions, her vocals are so technical and so powerful too. mind you, Cynthia was sick in this performance. if other ppl are looking for emotions, her broadway (og) performance is the way to go
