    Just a bunch of words. Firefighters are so self serving but don’t want to get off the couch or put down the doughnuts. The elite firefighters are held back and the fat nerds with nit life continue to serve each other and keep control of the service. The fire service should be run like a football franchise, competitive

    Very nice TDA. Glad to see Sutphen is building those now. As a constructive input for you on this video production, I think you should begin or end with an entire overview of entire rig, from front to rear and around sides. You could use a drone to video that. I think the beginning shots would be best, and then ending the video with the code + scene lights activated.

    “Cowboy” isn’t what he describes. We label someone cowboy only when someone acts in a manner that is dangerous to their brothers and sisters. They are cowboy when the operate with no regard for realistic risk management. They are cowboy when they put themselves above the team they serve with. When someone acts cowboy, they force the team to deal with their freelancing rather than do the job they have trained for. Cowboy, contrary to his statements, is about the freelancer. It’s about the firefighter who fails to look at the science and implement that science in a rapid aggressive manner, rather continues to double down on ignorant methodologies that have been proven to not be effective or true. You CAN be aggressive. You CAN be effective and safe. You CAN drop injuries and deaths to our people, while serving our community and people.

    Here's a revolutionary thought. Fire Engineering should not support, promote, or adopt anything DEI. You want to destroy the fire service? That's how you do it.

    I recently finished his book. PREACH! There have to be standards with accountability. The public has expectations of us.

  • @ssheldon1616
    @ssheldon16163 ай бұрын

    The public also doesn’t want to pay for it either, so there is that issue. That’s not to detract from being professional, but does mitigate the level of service.

    Thank you for doing this, sirs. LT Roger D Snyder, AH WICKS Eng&Truck, KFD Co4 Kingston, NY LODD 11/19/88 ...on the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address and the dedication of the cemetery there. I'm grateful for the opportunity to return to Emitsburg as a Family Escort this year - to serve our hero families, pay my respects to LT Snyder and to all of our Fallen, and to stop at Gettysburg on the way back home. Thanks again for doing this podcast. Enjoy FDIC and God bless and keep you all.

    “Accountability starts with me” yet you’re defending your son who murdered to people. Such a spoiled entitled family they are. You don’t get special privileges because you’re in the military. He may have had a medical emergency out of his control but he was operating a vehicle which KILLED two people. Accidents happen all the time but that doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences. If I have a heart attack while driving and two people die as a result, I’m going to jail for unintentional homicide. He should be grateful he only got three years for KILLING TWO PEOPLE. #DOYOURTIMERIDGE
