    This scene. Judy quite magnificent, but big mentions for everyone that created this scene, from director, staging and choreographers. Just ALL of it, is thrilling!

    Filming this scene was apparently a nightmare as Judy kept storming off the set and fighting with Vincent Minelli

    0:45 why the need to change the text?

  • @ethy_bates_art
    @ethy_bates_art2 күн бұрын

    the same reason they changed the PELIGRO/DANGER warning sign at 1:08 - it's written in Spanish and they wanted it to be written in german (fairly sure even the DANGER sign reads GEFAHR in the original print). Chances are the german text on the note is the original.

    This is amazing -- the original sequence and your stereo version editing too! I'd argue that the dancers are in 5/8 time, though, not 5/4.

    30:17 Danny Kaye as Captain Hook, he does a superb job and is so evil. I’m surprised that he doesn’t get a big pirate captain hat though showing he’s the Captain. Years later he would be Captain Hook again in Disneyland’s 25th anniversary in 1980.❤🪝🏴‍☠️

    Judy is so beautiful here! Why the heck did they dress her so poorly in most of her later movies!?! Judy was the greatest entertainer ever per Elvis Presley. Hard to disagree.
