You need the one that allows the leaves to still slip off the leaves are gonna chill on that mesh decomp turn to dirt and be perfectly protected to grow a seed in your gutters or before that happens it’ll get clogged and water will just pour from your roof over the mesh covered in leaves

I'm not sure about your local ordinances related to fire but honestly, to remove that stump naturally ( not mechanically) you had to start a simple fire over it and keep it firing for a couple days. That is what I do when I don't need to remove the stump completely with roots. I still believe a simple rock is gonna destroy a blade in a second.

@@manukahoneyguru thanks for watching! We don't have any fire ordnances in effect as it's been raining all summer. I agree that a fire takes days to burn down a stump! Luckily, none of the rocks I've encountered have affected the stump grinder.

Sawdust has value too. Maybe you can sell that to people. Some like it for poultry bedding. Some use it to grow mushrooms if its hardwood dust. In the winter you can make ice blocks with sawdust to make an igloo that wont melt for a month. School janitors need dust for cleaning up vomit 😆

Have you used this on a slope before? I have a bunch of stumps on a slope of a ditch I need to remove and was considering this grinder.

Yes, but the tractor was not sideways. I backed over the stump to where the tractor hood was elevated. I wouldn't recommend putting any subcompact tractor on a slope as they are prone to tipping without rim spacers.

I'd really love a full video on how to do this and why your doing things , we bought a big property in montana and the driveway is now filling with weeds but were flattening the swells 🙄, but we really want to learn to do it correctly like I didn't even know about the tilt thing 🤯 great to learn before snow fall

@@heatherfonner thank you for watching! Others refer to raised middle section of a driveway as the "Crown". Different terms used all over really. I've used the "swell" term because we have other raised areas on the property that work to slow down the flow of water in which we've always referred to as swells.

@SeriouslyStumpd lol, yes, I understood what a swell , crown is , I just didn't think to tilt my drag or to point my claws down more to get deeper, alot of us bought our tractors used . So basically we're learning how to use them by just getting on and figure it out. I really appreciate that you teach us things in the season we're in , I just learned last night on another channel he does the chores for July, but at the end he tells us what to start preparing for the next season (fall) so it not so overwhelming when fall comes. Like July- ordering my garlic bulbs now, get wood ordered for winter Ect.. I didn't know 🤷🏼♀️ I really wish there was a seasonal check off list for dummies, because not all of us grew up with this knowledge in our toolbox, (cali city girl) to (montana) but I'm wanting to learn , thank you for teaching to we're we can absorb the information. To pass on knowledge to my granddaughter since she'll be inherenting this 300 acre homestead. Thank you

Next time I go to do some Driveway Maintenance I will aim to make a longer video on it. But as far as seasons go, The Carolina's rarely experience all of that white powdery stuff. So, while I aim to do my best to bring everyone along with me through all of my projects. Some applicability will come in to play as I don't have many true winter preparations. Checklist's, Tips and tricks, and How To's are all part of the beauty of KZread. We can all learn and share with one another. Your granddaughter will be Blessed!
