Had someone call to place an order he spoke very slow. He orders a food item that is premade and can’t be modified but he wants it modified. I tell him we can’t do it like that because they only come a certain way. He asks “so you can’t do it?” I tell him correct. He tells me to hang on and puts me on hold. I don’t think much of it. He comes back after a minute and asks again if we can do it and I tell him again no. At this point people were coming to the front to pay. He asks if he can put me on hold again and I tell him he can call back and he doesn’t say anything. 20 minutes passes by and here comes a angry lady barging in asking why we can’t do that order. I try explaining it to her but she doesn’t catch what I’m saying so she asks for a manager. I went to the back and came back out asked her if I can help her with anything she gets pissed and says she’s never coming back again. Thank god.

My friends mom sits and stares at the washing machine the entire time It's not like some bluff she does to get a break She genuinely looks stressed This is a combination machine which washes and dries the clothes so the cycle lasts for 1 hour She even asked for water but would not get up

I am known for having done this twice, you can blame my ex stepfather, he was really really crafty when he wasn’t being a jerk or drunk, or both. First one, we didn’t do a presentation on an element of the periodic table, not element, and group, as long as it wasn’t the transition metals. School program or classes were extremely small, think maybe 8 to 10 max, on a good day. I chose column two, my vision had been deteriorated, but what I had left at the time was enough that I knew I could find some things and make them look right, in the particular group are such elements that make up emeralds, And our good friend burial, I knew I could find a bone, if I couldn’t find a bone, I can go to a pet store and find myself so the bone shaped. Big big, huge board, with the iPad, and then some, at the bottom different examples being pasted on. How I got that thing up the stairs to my science classroom I will never know. The second one we had to diagram of an Adam. I hope you have glass beats, I have particular fascination with them at the time, still do, and I knew I could make the ring look just right, And with my understanding of contrast, make the protons and electrons and neutrons look correct. No, my stepfather decided to take a hook and chain, and some rings and actually make the darn thing look mechanically, correct. The problem was we had to put this on like a Bolton board to be shown outside her classroom, the darn thing wouldn’t fit, not unless you had a Peg on wall, and we were using thumbtacks. Up to college I was going for going a little bit and same with my projects. Also the project for my second grade year. We are supposed to make animals, but the base of them was supposed to be a recycled. Can’t, think your average soda can. A friend of mine, and I both wanted to do the canals, I forget what she wanted to do, but I want to do a white cat. Our teacher, God bless her, wild animals. Well, we already bought the materials so we both pivot in two different directions. I pivot it to panda she pivoted the snow, they’ve all came out really nicely. I wanted to brussels sprouts is a mystery. I’m sorry for the gaps of dictation is made, I am functionally blind due to a rare genetic condition and therefore dictate everything.

Didn't obviously see it because I was in her belly at the time, but my mom was a nurse. Once, she had a problem patient come in when she was working on the substance abuse floor, and while hugely pregnant with me, hopped on the gurney to help hold the patient down while the other nurse got the restraints on.

Not me but a family friend had to have laughing gas for (IIRC) dental surgery. I had to pick him up from the dentist and help him pick up his prescription from his pharmacy. He couldn’t stop giggling the whole time. Pharmacist was curious what was up with him and I explained it. The guy oooked at send friend and (jokingly) gave him a high five. Hilarious. 🤣

Mine would be: blow-dry my hair. It takes forever on my long hair, so some years ago I just stopped. I ride a bicycle to work, so it's almost dry from wind when I arrive and in case I don't want to look messy, I just put it in a bun. Made life so much easier.

I just came from the opposite of this video and all I got from this is don't be a jerk, be professional (in the interview, know what company your applying to, what job title your applying for, etc.), dress well, be sober/stoned, don't lie, don't bring your family or partners, and be mentally sane 😅🤣😄 Also, I'm curious about this: Is it wrong to send employers your resume more than once and if it's wrong to send employers your resume, even though you didn't get a call back (a rejection)? 😅

Amused by the guy who thought his neighbours painted their lawn because they were jealous of his. Like, dude. Get over yourself. You don't know if they were jealous (you used deception to learn about the painting, you didn't ask them) and maybe they just weren't interesting in wasting tons of water for a better green.

To the lady that served that group of deaf people, I sincerely hope that that experience did not deter you from serving others with profound, yet functional disabilities. I am one of that number, and for the most part, there are apples in every crowd, we are kind and gentle creatures who don’t want to make your day any worse it has to be, that is unless you deny us access for some extremely trivial and stupid reason. Yes, I’m talking to all you Uber drivers out there who deny us rides because we have a dog, you do realize it’s like denying someone has a ride a ride simply because they have a different pair of eyes? And again, last common sense was hanging by a thread on life-support. Talking to always, not talking to, talking about all those of us who have legitimate service dogs, not the “fake “service dogs that make so within actual service dog life harder. There is a clear distinction, how to enforce that distinction is a debate we can have another day.

this one is bad. None of these are clever or interesting. All of these people are lazy. No it's not special that you run errands in pajamas. We're sick of seeing "people of Walmart" fashion when we go out, it's depressing as hell. Especially with the obesity epidemic in this country. It's not clever or liberating to put less than zero effort into your appearance. Also the obsession over non-lawns. Do that where I grew up and you're covering in tics when you go outside. The wedding one made me sad. Only reason people are questioning the point of marriage is that all of the fun/meaning has been sucked out of it after it got completely commodified. Now people just view it as a huge expense.

The lawn ones....I grew up in LI which has a horrible tic population. You want to get covered in tics every time you go outside and get lyme disease and then weird food allergies and feel weak from that? Don't have any lawn

6:46 Overtended lawns. Monocultural grass farms are biological deserts. And we wonder why bees and butterflies are vanishing. When lawn mowing season arrives, I try not to mow too early, to allow some flowering of the plants, and then I try to mow the front lawn one week, the back lawn the next week. Ours is one of the few lawns on the block with insects. 17:18 THIS. I can't see spending your one or two week vacation each year blowing a month's salary. WHY?

I wear my white T-shirts inside out. 1) Who's gonna see them, and 2) why should I put the seams next to my tender bod? I'm thankful to a college roommate who, in the early 70's, clued me in on this.

My mom watches nothing but right-wing pundit programming at high volumes 24/7. It's like a hellish combination of '1984' and 'Fahrenheit 451'. I have bad hearing to begin with (work-related) and whenever she tries to talk to me while Fox Nation or whatever is blaring I have to tell her politely but loudly to mute her TV.

Getting married gives each person certain “protections”. It can be as simple as eloping. When an unmarried couple buys a house, that’s a partnership, but it’s worse in most cases, because in most cases people don’t plan for what may happen. If one of them dies without a will, their partner now owns a house with their dead partner’s next of kin. Imagine owning half of one house while the other half belongs to your “in-laws” that hate you.

not wanting to decorate your apartment (or atleast your room) is like.. sad i have so many little trinkets and souvenirs from stuff ive done in the past and its delightful looking around my room and remembering those good times and whatnot plus, i personally cannot stand having blank walls and just plain neutral colors everywhere- i have a bunch of fake plants around to add some natural color but then again, i have been told many times i have loot goblin/crow tendencies, so maybe im the strange one lmao edit, alot of these things that are 'ignoring social norms' are also just. very normal not to do. like for example i feel like ironing clothes daily is not normal? you just make sure to hang them up so they dont get wrinkles to begin with, if you even care about wrinkles on a particular item of clothing

The 44 year old me wishes he could tell the 24 year old me to rip up every credit card application he got. Had to declare bankruptcy in my 30s and lost a house to foreclosure a couple of years after that. Took years to climb out of that.
