I’m Jack Reading, professional mountain biker and coach. I own Gravity School Coaching, and our associated professional race team, Gravity School Racing by SR Suntour.
After 14 years racing World Cup downhill, I have retired from racing at this level at the end of 2023. All my focus is now on my coaching and my race team, so I can help our riders achieve their dreams in the sport.
This channel will cover all the team action, at coaching camps and race events, with LoamLife Media capturing everything. We want to tell you guys the stories of our athletes as they develop in the sport.
Enjoy and come say hello at the race pit 🙌😊

Nice work on the video! Thanks for all the help and tips from the whole week. looking forward to getting back to it one of these years and giving it another crack
Nice vid 🤙🏻
What a week 🙌🏻
Yeah dude🤘 awesome vid, nice chatting to you at the Mega!
Great video. I can't even imagine how it would be all week mentally preparing for the glacier carnage and then instead race day turns into a mud carnage
so beautiful! Great video .
Great storytelling & edit. Keep it up bro!
Great video, great content, and I like that you've given a slightly different perspective compared with many others. I happen to prefer the raw sounds during the riding (rather than music) but I know that's just personal preference, and others prefer music. And I did like the music you chose, so maybe I should shut up! 😊 I watched your other vid with the chain coming off! Holy shit, that was impressive. Almost as impressive as avoiding that rider lying right in the line of fire on the glacier descent! Well played. 😂 Nicely done mate, from a new subscriber!
Ninety years old and never in my best days. Wow. What an effort.
Great video. Thanks for sharing this
6:08 the guy in green broke his right arm probably.
Insane.....
Such an awesome race 🤙 Excellent video Jack !
great race very impressive...congratulation for the race ! ! ! in italy when down the chain we call jesus aahahah
How does n.1203 in first position in the middle of the race ( watch Olivier Bruwiere video at 14' 19" ) Did he take some invalid shortcut at 1:41 ? his final time is missing from the official finishing order, he appears to have been disqualified.
yea that was illegal cut, but i did point this out, they havent taped properly. The whole course has lazy taping which annoyed me. But apparently there are gates that you have to hit in certain areas hidden from riders.
Im impressed, the struggle is real!
Great results in tough conditions this year.
Well done Jack
The mask strips do you throw them in your pocket?
@@peterwynnychuk5085 no but the ones we are biodegradable 👍
Given chain efficiency being higher than belt in ideal scenarios, I wonder if mud and grit quickly makes the chain less efficient. Basically, is it worth going with belt in such races?
i miss the first corner
That sounded like it took 5 years from your life...
@@GaborEID only 5…? 😆
Wow that forest was a carnage, riders falling everywhere, but you nailed it 😅
😎🙌 that was fire 🔥
Insane race well done
Nice race Jack. I guess it takes a lot more out of you than your DH World Cup runs.
All the guys that were too proud to move out of the way ended up crashing out. Lol😂
Embarrassing!! I’d beat you down there with a puncture!! You’re better at golf mate!! It’s time to call it a day. Ian Kelly would kick your ass!!! Even I’d beat you in a go-kart!!! 😂😂
Wow, that was B R U T A L. Kudos to you and all the racers that made it to the finish line. And thank you for bringing us with you on the race
The massive moments and screams of terror make for an incredibly entertaining vid!😂 I don't feel nearly as bad now about missing out on the main race by 2 places (my chain came off in quali before the moon rock). I had a full-on 30 yard two wheel drift coming down the ridge but at least the woods were still dry! The speed you carried with no chain was amazing too!
i was just on your page and you said you had retired from racing. maybe with all the skills and knowledge, the mountain of hell is too much for the lungs now. anyway good run and all the best for your school.
@@mariannejacot1668 I have retired from World Cup downhill racing - I will still race other events 💪
and who won the race. you did very well in these conditions. did you ask yourself once during the race - why am i doing this to my body why - or do you love it anyway. really bad bad track this year and a bit different, big puddles and everything got dirty and muddy. thanks for the video and good luck to you jack. greetings from germany from the eastern sea
Fucking INSANE. Might be my fav mega run ever. The forest section was fucken gnarly, the mud was like ice this year. Whos was that stuck in front of you for a while?
@@skankwave5245 wild wasn’t it! I’m not sure who it was mate
Well done mate!
Yess Lad!
good jack and good for liam, saw his report on madeira. good luck tomorrow, get on the podium
Go jack! gl for tomorrow
... and here's our national anthem: *_ALARMA!_* 🙉
Well done, good luck!
👏👏👏 good luck in finals
After the bad luck of last year 2023. I wish and best of luck for this year.
Bjössi Þú ert flottur!! 🏁
My man can i help with the house rebuild? i love bikes, worked in construction for a while and need a job :D
Hi, what do i need to do to become a Bike Sponsor? I mean, is it easy? Do I need to be the best of the best or can I get one also when i am a good rider but not the best one? Do I need to be famous?😅
Thought riders on factory teams didn’t need points to enter a race, hence Brayton & Co entering a team, unless I’m completely wrong which I prob am 😂
You’re right, but we’re not a uci registered team. With world cups not being our priority this year (our priority being developing our riders at Portugal Cups and IXS European Cups), there was no reason to flush 5K down the toilet 🚽 When our riders get fast enough, they will acquire the necessary points, until then, no point going to a World Cup to just be disappointed 👍
@@JackReadingMTB makes sense, you guys doing a sick job keep it up 🤘🏻
Nice job. Great episode again
Think ones tolerance for bs organisation wet muddy tracks gets less and less as we age jack. But love these vids and what your doing
Surely we need people like you to help sort this series out ?!!
I'm not sure they want my help mate
How much is it?
You should sign up the Crew for Megavalanche and Mountain of Hell. Give everybody GoPro switch them to 4K mode. It would be dope video and you would get alot of views and subscribers. Like that Kilian Bron fellow.
