  Can you legally melt copper pennies? Pennies and nickels contain copper, zinc, and other metals that are of great monetary value. It is because of this that melting down these metals for the sole intention of selling to offshore or local metal scraping industries is illegal.

  You probably got a made up roll,(be careful and check for positive feedback and reviews). But like you said your just starting so it filled up some holes. If I were doing what you are doing, I would probably look on eBay and find singles or lots, that way you can get specific dates and mint marks, and not aquire as many duplicates. Just a suggestion. Great video.

  Interesting errors and/or varieties. I have a couple coins that I've tried comparing to Variety Vista and same as you, it could be 1 of many different ones. I do like the ones you found with the "needle eye" look. Looking forward to seeing your next video!

  The main thing is if you like what you get. I have watched a couple of other videos with these grab bags, and by the looks of them I wouldn't buy one. One of the reason is lots of the things in the bag I wouldn't buy. So my suggestion would be go spend money on things you collect. Really not going to take the time to go find RFT video because if he knew who was buying he would have fixed where more people would buy. Actually not a fan of RFT. Great video, have a Great Day.

  Some great designs on those coins. Nice haul overall. I don't have many foreign coins as I have a hard enough time keeping up with my current U.S. collections. Maybe someday, you never know! Looking forward to your next hunt.

  Passively collecting any of the monetary metals, including Copper & Nickel is always a good idea. However, you're probably better off buying Silver & Gold and holding them for a long period of time or passing it on to your loved ones. Copper will go up in the dollar price, but it will be more a result of the drop in the dollar's purchasing power than it will be the actual value of Copper rising. I keep pre-'82 American pennies, pre-'97 Canadian pennies, pre-'04 America nickels, pre-'82 Canadian nickels, pre-'00 Canadian quarters, etc... But the lion's share of my discretionary funds go into either Silver or Gold. They have both preserved my purchasing power quite well over the past 15 years, even better than the several hundred pounds of Copper & few dozen pounds of Nickel that I possess.

  That sure looks like a no fg to me. I've found a couple that were close, but you could still see faint traces of one or both of the initials. I would say that's a great find!

  Will you please explain your theories on metal content and how the coins are separated.

  The coins are first mechanically separated by size to determine denomination. Between the hopper and the rolling machine should be a series of filters. The first and most oviouse is a magnet to remove any iron and nickel ie. washers, tokens, foreign (USA nickels are 75% copper so not magnetic). Other filters could include checking the weight or for holes.
