Rear Axle Repair Bearing 7.5" / 8.8" 1979-2004 National: BCA RP-5707 There about $48 a side well worth it to not need to clean shaving out of the pumpkin every time the rear axles go out

I’m Not a fan of the 8.8 I been doing axle bearing in them for years one of fords worst axle designs ever I put brand new axles in from any part store with new bearings I get about 18 to 22,000 out of a set it’s garbage ford could of put a bearing with a center bearing race instead you use the axle it’s self I wonder what think tank ceo at ford though that Mickey Mouse deal up made ford a lot of money got one tip those don’t use the open bearing you get in the axle kits the reason why is that bearing goes out the shavings go all thru your differential fluid all that metal flakes go down the tubes in to the pumpkin then your gonna need to change every thing these bearing are called replacement bearing they got a inner seal that faces in the axle tube this way the shavings stay all in the axle instead of blowing out the center member there a way bigger bearing you hammer them In slow there like two inches deep with the inner seal buy them Save your self some headache later

making good progress but one concern is the engine mounting is dead on the joint of the frame...something to look into...and lets try and maintain some P.P.E we cant be cutting grinding and the like and compromising safety
@GarageNixonsАй бұрын
i think the motor mount straddling the frame joint works to add strength. I spent some time in front of the mirror about that PPE. I will de better.

It's taken me 4 years to get where I'm at. But you just keep on keeping on, it's fun to be able to post your videos. 👍 There's a group of guys that Go by the (No name Nationals) they do a 2-day drag racing event in sikeston Missouri in September.
