I never drank coffee or energy drink in my life. I am 1 year from finishing college and was looking into the potential benefits of starting in terms of energy for studying and also working out. I have tried to use caffeine pills a few times, but I felt like the effect they had on me wasn't very significant other than allowing me to stay up for a little longer, and at this point I don't know if I want to start drinking coffee or not, because essentially everyone I know drinks it on a daily basis but they also seem to be very reliant on it.

Half of the people in my family went through this, and then ended up giving up carbs, too. Two of them have gone carnivore. They say they've got steady energy all day without the anxiety. I'm weak. Every time I quit caffeine, I feel better, but then I end up coming back to it. This video has reminded me how important managing my anxiety is. It's not natural to sit in front of a computer all day, and we need to do everything we can to preserve our mental health. I'm going on 30 years of a career staring at screens, and it's wearing on me. I'm going to ween myself off of coffee again. Maybe it will stick this time. Love your videos!

For me it's insomnia. I stop coffee before noon but sometimes I've had so much my body can't filter it out before 3am

Man. Thank you. Just what I needed to hear. I think coffee and caffeine in general gonna be labeled as highly addictive in the future as it happened with other substances like cigarettes (they were considered healthy not long ago). Just like Tesla said people will realize the damage and will stop drinking tea and coffee.

I'm working my way through the last of my coffee before I finally quit. However, one change I have made is to go from three cups to two......and my cutoff is 11am, NO caffeine/coffee after. Even this simple change has made a MASSIVE difference to my energy and focus levels. If such a small change has had such a big impact, I wonder if it will get any better when I finally finish/quit it for good!

This is encouraging...that it gets better. I was forced to ditch all caffeine permanently, after a week in hospital with gastrtis. I've wondered how I will do my job off coffee. Patience 👍

I quit coffee about two months ago. Same reason anxiety. I quit cold turkey and it was tough. The first day not too bad. Day 2 headache. Day 3 headache, constipation, body aches and tired. Day 4 and 5 same. However, day six feeling pretty good but still sleepy. I’m a runner and cyclist and noticed by about day 10 my energy was really good. My brain wanted to curl up and sleep. But physically feeling strong. Caffeine blocks sleep receptors I found out. And so the brain has to produce more to sleep. It was like a dam opened with excess sleep receptors making me feel sleepy. But WOW has my sleep improved! I absolutely don’t crave caffeine at all. I feel more alert and more efficient throughout the day.
