Fit, fit, fit. That is why there are dozens of trail shoes out there: it is because a good shoe comes down to fit. If your feet and ankle simply don't "fit" this shoe, then it doesn't make sense to wear it -- and certainly for a 50 mile race. In other words, even if everyone raves about a specific shoe, it isn't going to perform if it doesn't fit your foot right -- no matter the cool technology it has. I also will add a nuance reviewers rarely mention: socks. There is a HUGE difference between wearing say the Injini ultra crew socks and some of the really thin, low cut Feetures. I throw that out there, because fit -- and this reminds me of ski boots and fit -- changes a lot depending on the socks you are wearing. I would be testing these shoes in thicker, burlier socks that I would expect to run in a serious ultra. I would not wear socks in this type of shoe that I would wear in my speedwork/roadwork flats.

The reason I ask is because, in addition to running, I also play beach volleyball and can’t wear my Pace 3 but still would like track my hr during game. Thanks! I hope to hear from you!
Yes, the HR monitor must be paired to your watch to record data. It doesn’t have any internal storage. If you can keep your pace 3 close by, it may stay connected and record.
What size is this I have a medium and I’m unsure if it’s too high up but it looks like a similar height to yours idk where the vest should sit under my arms it feels very comfy and great
This is a medium vest as well. I am 6’3” tall.
@@UltraTrailSteven thank you so much! I hope my vest is the right size.
Race or Race S?
Race
@@UltraTrailSteven What about Heart rate sensor?
@@inevern8027Just us a HR-strap for workout as it is better all the time. Day to day the HR of Race is good enough. 😉
@@inevern8027 what are you asking? If the race or race S is better, or if this review is on the Race or Race S
@@UltraTrailSteven Which one should I buy if price doesnt matter
Thank you for this, I’m having surgery on 8-15 and I’m nervous.
Trust the process! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
What about compare with garmin
Great idea, but I don’t have any Garmin watches anymore
It has turn by turn you have to turn it on when you upload your route
Yep I found that out!
I don't have the shield icon
This was an older version of the app. Now you click on the Profile Tab at the bottom right, then Workout Library and create your workout.
Wishing the best for you❤❤❤ I am warming down using your exercises now and training for Nobiz. Thank you for all your insight and advice and I really hope you get better!
Thank you so much!
I am on day 3 post op and really wish that KZread would place this kind of video higher up in the search results. No "do this simple exercise" etc, just you guys talking and discussing how things are going. I am already panicking over the time I spend in bed or on the couch. I am doing rehab exercises down on the floor 4 times per day and only have paracetamol and some other long lasting NSAID to help with the inflammation. It's crazy how much of a difference there can be for people in terms of pain, swelling etc. Anyways, I am rambling. Thank you so much for sharing this, I'll be looking at the rest of your videos too and just so that you know, it's extremely helpful and appreciated that you've done these videos!
I am so glad to hear this has been helpful! Definitely check out the 4 month post op update, and the 1 year post op update. I (Steven) am about to have this same surgery, and it is crazy the difference from surgeon to surgeon. Valan's surgeon didn't want her to use a hip brace, and my surgeon does want me to use one. We wish you a speedy recovery!
Amazing.Good job.I hope your Doc.is just as good
Thanks for all your videos. I’m up here in Leadville for the Lead Challenge right now. Just did the marathon. Silver Rush this upcoming weekend. Love the insight you provide into the race and emotions throughout. Very helpful!
So glad the videos were helpful! How did the marathon go?
@@UltraTrailSteven it went good despite doing it on tired legs. My goal was to be around 5 hours and I was within a few minutes. 🤘
@@alludwig awesome! Good luck at the 50!
