    Please how do you tune your upright bass.i tune my E A D G and so hard and takes more energy to play

  • @mischafreybass
    @mischafreybass8 күн бұрын

    @@OssyFlourish the tuning is the normal E A D G which I would recommend to use and keep for a lot of reasons. Strings are synthetic gut, see your other comment I answered just before. The rest of the easy and energy is daily playing/training of those muscles

    Awesome..what kind of string do you use on your upright bass? Looks easy without stress

  • @mischafreybass
    @mischafreybass8 күн бұрын

    @@OssyFlourish thank you sir! The strings I use are "Razzmatazz High Tension" by Gut-A-Like, they are a German company making " synthetic gut strings" as their company name suggest. If you have experience with gut strings it's similar, lower tension than metal strings. So that's part of thr ease, the rest is a good set up of the bass anf basically daily playing which helps a lot with endurance, strength and calluses.

    Thank you so much. I use drumloops or metronome regularly, but sometimes it's just great to do it completely "naked" and rely on the inner beat. But for sure more entertaining with drums. Have a great day ✌️

    Awesome that you're working on that! I can definitely do, never ever would have thought of myself as a funk player but I can gladly try. Anything specific you're practicing at the moment?

    How do I learn to jam like this ? What scale? How !!

  • @mischafreybass
    @mischafreybass6 ай бұрын

    The scale is kind of the most basic C Major scale. Since I have no idea where you are in your musical journey the best I can recommend is to play/practice what seems like fun and listen/transcribe music you love.
