When Frank died in hospital, his family were very upset with the doctor who broke the news to them. It wasn't the fact that Frank was dead, it was the way he told 'em.😀
God how we need the days of proper humour and banter ..Charlie would confer if he was here ❤
😊😢
I was one of the Radio luxembourg people of the late 70s and 80s, and listened every night, like many others, from a transistor radio under my pillow.. My all time favourite was Bob Stewart, but also really loved the Stuart and Ollie slot.. Stuart by then had MS but never let that stop him doing what he loved, entertaining the people.. Thank you for posting, and thank you Stuart for the many late nights listening to you.❤
It was a great time for radio in the 1970s 👍
Jo & Twiggy from Nottingham's Radio Trent were as good as Sam & Amy. Hands down. We have the best humour in Nottingham. 😂
I would agree with you on Jo & Twiggy. Twiggy now on breakfast at BBC Radio Derby. A few years ago I made this video. Sad that when Sam & Amy went to Virgin Radio they broke them up and have now both left the station.
Wow! - Best of British! Just Subscribed - fabulously funny! Thanks for uploading these comedic legends
Glad you liked the video 👍 Thank you for your comments.
You can’t get a pure and stronger Yorkshire accent than that of Charlie Williams. It reminds me of an eastender I knew of Indian heritage who spoke with strongest and most authentic Cockney accent I’ve heard. The good old days when British born non whites really did assimilate.
Love Charlie Williams❤
They are brilliant 🤩 ❤
He was a good comedian and a lovely singer saw him at Blackpool
Whoever is this girl is, she funny and did great in this video. Also, she look a little more Nicola Roberts with a Geordie accent.
Great concept! We also like incorporating interview clips of artists describing or explaining how they came up with their songs.
Very funny, classic comedy.
LOVE Johnnie Casson. Brilliant comic!
Seen Billy Pearce brilliant
He can even make “ 97 quid” sound funny !! Fabulous comedian
Comedy of the highest order. Absolutely brilliant.
British humour Will live on Regardless of political Interference!
Michael Parkinson 😂 🤣 (roots of a working class Yorkshire man,) belly laughing at Bernard taking the piss out of Esther
Bout as funny as boil on your prick
Nobody can do a Norfolk accent properly - other than those who live there.
2:35 that lady is NOT impressed 😂
Just watched a so called comedian on BGT what an embarrassment compared to these fantastic guys
Jam made the best jingles
THE WAS WHEN YOU COULD LAUGH AT FUNNY PEOPLE AND JOKES
Had so many memorable Sunday afternoons here during the 1980s and early 1990s. It was a great day out for the family, be it at the fair or driving the motorboats around the lake. I visited not so long ago, and although the lake is still beautiful, it was sad to see it so quiet with the site of the old fair and arcade overgrown and the old cafe long gone to new housing.
Like me Paul, some great memories of my Mum & Dad taking me & my sister to the attractions. As a teenager I used to cycle there. It was a great place & still is but I missed the funfair, the cafe & the speed boats & rowing boats. So sad.
Classic comedy
Frank Carson: "It's the way I tell 'em!" Classic line!
Brilliant.
The days when you could have a laugh
Very good in the day
Wish they would put up the names I know most the faces but can’t remember names. I think one was Frank Carson and one was Charlie I think I was only young but remember my dad loved The Comedians
Just awesome, a great era for radio.
The best 👍👍
Can someone tell me who came first. Dusty Young or Brendan Grace. Because I'm hearing alot of Brendan Grace jokes here. So I'm just wondering who influenced who. Because Google or Wikipedia won't tell me. Thanks in advance.

I see this all those decades later and they still leave me in hysterics....especially Ken Goodwin 🤣🤣😊
We can see the origins of Unlucky Alf from The Fast Show here also.
I knew a lad, he always claimed he was the illegitimate son of Duggie Brown...!?! His mother had had a night of passion when Duggie was playing Great Yarmouth or somewhere in Norfolk...😉😁🤔
Unfortunately comedians aren’t comedians anymore
If you dont find them funny ..you have no sense of humour.
Total proper funny comedians!!! Bless them all!! 🎉💐🥂👏🎊❤️🙏
