    18:05 - does the slow-down happen only in the mornings? I see two strange sign like... ads? Whatever it is. There is a lot going on in these pictures. My guess would be, that FSD tries to figure out what are these signs, and how it should behave. It is unsure what it is, so it slows down. Maybe some specific level of brightness is needed for that behavior too, but it would be a bit strange. Not impossible though.

    6:25 - looks like all three cars were starting together, and the car on the left probably did a small movement out of the trajectory. I find it fascinating that Tesla finds the way out, but picks different route from time to time. Maybe Tesla is getting more familiar with the area, recording surroundings to share with the fleet.

  • @Kaipiso
    @Kaipiso24 күн бұрын

    @@JakubKudlacz There should not be any type of long-lasting memory built in the system yet. Also, cooperation with the navigation data and module is... well, like a love-hate relation. So, sometimes FSD trusts the nav data, but not always. Selecting a different route might have something to do with that. Imagine that you are taking an Uber ride each time you leave the house. You can get a different person each time. You don't know how they are familiar with the area, they might be just passing by or be a fresh guy in the city. So, when you are riding around, you see that something is off and some routes are not optimal from your perspective. And you start to think that you could do better! One idea is that it depends on past interactions with the navigation module, but I do not think it is actively trying different routes. I don't think it is random or learning your habits, either. It is the goal, but we are not there yet. I think that some people also reported a little different behavior before and after a disengagement. Especially connected to the speed and hesitancy. Restarting or updating the device might also have a similar effect. I don't think we know if there is some kind of short memory implemented (or rather what it is connected to), but such an invention could explain some observations.

    40 min drive, 2 interventions cause Navigation was gonna take longer route (it was not traffic related) 1 was cause there is no option to Pick Departures or Arrivals when setting Destination and last one was selecting drop off location in Arrivals. Let’s see how 12.4.x handles it next.
