Greetings, my name is Kenyatta Robinson.
My love for BBQ started while listening to my father-in-law brag about his 7 hour slow-smoked ribs. His fall-off-the bone ribs were the most tender that I ever had & it made me want to learn how to smoke my own.
On a whim, I shared a video of the almost tragic delivery of my new offset smoker that was almost dropped from the truck. I received lots of questions about the smoker which led to the formation of this channel.
Over the years, I learned that BBQ is an activity that builds and serves community. Food is a universal experience & great tasting food prepared with love makes the community better.
I hope you find videos on this channel that help you make better BBQ. Please also consider joining the Backyard SmokeMaster Society, an online membership community designed for BBQ fans and enthusiasts who want to help each other grow their BBQ skills by sharing tips, recipes, advice and shared experiences around BBQ. Hi! Thanks for the review ! Got a question about how bulky the weber is. What is the minimum size of door it could pass for winter storage? Thanks!
The WSK E6 is 44.9”(h) x 34.8” (w) x 35” (d) so I think it will fit through most standard doors that are 36” wide.
Kingsford works just fine for my use. Im cheap so i buy whats affordable and available in my area
Absolutely agree with that approach!
“Fuel is flavor”! Kamado grills tend to be too efficient and seem to produce more moisture but less flavor.
Thanks Kenyatta! I am going to grill salmon this weekend.
Sounds great! 😊

Kingsford got greedy and they don't sell that 2 x 20Lb bags anymore. Now they make us buy 2 x 16Lb bags for the same price as the 2 20 pounders.

B&B and kingsferd
Have you tried vegan BBQ? Do you like it?
Have you heard anything about people who eat charcoal and is it safe to eat people who are addicted to it can you give your honest opinion just curious is all
I don’t have an opinion on that.
When you remake this, can you use The Good Charcoal Company Super Briquettes? They surprised me and are my new favorite.
Very surprising. Thanks for great info
Great video!!! Can’t wait to try the true pecans pellets ,Upon meeting you I didn’t know we shared the same passion for smoking meat besides our daughters being good friends.. btw I’m Jada’s dads ✊🏾
Oh wow, how cool is that! Glad to meet you (again) in the spirit of BBQ!
This is pretty consistent with other comparisons of the summit. The smoke flavor tends to be subtle, and likely the grill is too efficient with fuel and not burning enough clean smoke. There’s another channel that has done comparisons and goes into additional details if you’re looking to compare different Kamado style grills. I own the summit, I enjoy it but if you want a Kamado style grill, something like a Kamado Joe might be more versatile and better overall value. I didn’t want to deal with a heavy grill so I went with the summit but I’m disappointed by the lack of add ons and almost none existent support from Weber. I would add that as another huge pro for the cheap kettle in this comparison. It has tons of add ons and it’s cheap. All that said, there aren’t enough channels doing summit content. Keep it up!
Thanks for sharing your observations, you made good points.
Mak Grills are ugly but they are American made. I have a 480YS Yoder Smoker made in America. Got rid of that Traeger tin can yuck!!
I think MAK was going for the armor truck look 😀
Do you prefer your fish to be grilled or smoked?
People are my favorite veggie!
🤔
Great video. Once I used B&B everything else was history.
Thank you.... I'm liking B&B more too.
Zucchini all the way!
This might be off kilter, but I put some sliced white onions on my rotisserie and the heat really brought out a sweet flavor in the onions. Loved it!
What is your favorite veggie on the grill?
Thank you for this! I like your rating method and objectivity. I just found your channel and you earned my subscription.
Thank you for subscribing! Much appreciated!

I am a fan of B&B since it is organic as opposed to the others. No additives. I’ll pay the extra money for that. Thank you sir for your test. A caveat. You burned Royal Oak alone. I believe the others side by side may have affected your results.
11July24 I will sign up
I have 1 of each. For my money nothing compares to the Summit Charcoal. I only use the kettle when I want to use one of the accessories you refer to. Comparing the 2 is kind of like me trying to go 1 on 1 with LeBron.
😂
and I rate charcoals for flavor... I am desert southwest raised so mesquite wood is my preferred media... No longer have property with mesquite...
Royal Oak for me!
What food did you mess up on the grill that turned out great the next time you cooked it?
Royal Oak is the worst charcoal ever made. my go to and what I been using for years is B&B it burns longer and hotter then the others.
Just purchased wsk e6. Get it Saturday!

Kenyatta, "Signature Style!" That is the buzzword I am going to use for my BBQ Treatment Plan! Thanks!
Good analysis. As always in the end it is the pitmaster and not the pit. The differences are often so minute that you can only tell in a direct side-by-side comparison.
Thanks for your feedback
Always right on time. Been trying to figure out some salmon in the grill. Your face said it all. Must try.
Give it a try & let me know what you think!
Where u get the jerk marinade?
I get it from Amazon. You can use this link www.amazon.com/dp/B0BCZ7DPXN/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_65CVAZC20188MB1SP7NG?linkCode=ml2&tag=backyardsmo01-20
Kenyatta, this looks like an awesome cook! My wife and I must try this soon. I will try your recipe using a griddle.
Yup, a griddle will work perfectly too!
Curious why you positioned the bird over the coals the way you did. Why didn’t you run it the length of the drip pan?
I realized this point after the cook. It would have been more efficient to position it the other way. I don’t think it made much difference in the long run…. the bird still turned out great.
Great video, thank you!
Thanks for your feedback!
Didn't watch due to very long bullCrap commercials.
The ads are controlled by KZread, as it is their platform. It’s out of my hands 🤷🏾♂️
After foiling I like to put it back on the smoker with a tiny bit more rub to set the bark
Great video. Been a WSM fan for 20yrs, and don't see that changing, but loved the content.
Thank you, much appreciated!
You guys are the best!
