I LOVE the outdoors, and share my video smorgasbord of working on our small farm. Putting up small hay bales, making firewood, moving snow, fixing and modifying equipment to hopefully make it run better then before AND tossing in some inside home stuff and odds and ends along the way.
I hope you enjoy my channel. Please feel free to leave your comments too. thank you for stopping by..

Do you happen to know the torque specs for the 4 engine bolts that go into the aluminum block?
@@fixpro256 I don’t but won’t be much. I tell ya with steel bolts to aluminum block I’d do the no no that they tell ya not to do. I’d coat with anti seize and not torque because of the steel to aluminum. My two cents. Then tighten snug with left hand. Two cents maybe use 1/4 wrench tighten
i have been on the bubble for weeks on deciding which one to buy, it think the 50" CC Zero has me sold
@@DoMorewLess yep same unit?? Just smaller deck. You’ll love it. Just know its limits. I have the 54 but I have the tractor with 50. I think the 50 deck mow better as in smoother lawn. But I’m a pain in the azz bout my yard. lol thanks for watching
@@sneezeacres5240 yes sir, id go 54" also but my atv trailer is 5ft wide, 50" no brainer for me..rmrmrber to wear your hearing protection..
I have a cheaper version of yours. They do help and are handy. Have a blessed weekend.
Fifty years ago, we used the two prong pitchfork, and we could go up to 11 bales high on the trailer. This New Holland, Bale pick up, is brilliant. Thanks for the Video 👍
Thanks for wstching
Whats the part # for the kit
For a single cylinder it’s AE32374
Ya Milwaukee seems to be tool of choice now days I just have a ton of dewalt stuff so committed lol
Nice fan, I was looking at TikTok shop for the fake Milwaukee fan like 30.00 looks like it has good reviews. I got the LED lamps 12.00 each and I was impressed, lasts for hour's.
Сколько стоит?
Could help you get out of a pickle. I always carry a flat repair kit in my truck with plugs.
Yep I also carry plug kits. It’s good peace of mind
Nice. I have some from Harbor but not as nice like yours.
I use a 50 year old cub cadet to cut grass every week. Yours might b just a little faster and better. Lol. Thinking about upgrading to a zero turn. Great video.
Hey thanks for watching. I used hammydowns for years until I got the 50” lawn tractor. Then the zero after zero wondered what took me so long. Lol
Wait, how did you get to the battery?
The panel that your feet are on when operating loader lifts out to show battery
@sneezeacres5240 ahhh, ok. I'll have to take a closer look at the bolts. Looks like we may have to remove the cab or something. We need to get to the wires that go to the starter area also. Critter chewed some up. Hopefully, it's not too hard to do that.
@@jimcoontz5848my floor panel has no bolts just sits on brackets that are apart of frame
I think you need to check the horse power requirements on the round baler. We run a 55 horse power JD on a JD 4x4 baler no issues and runs really smooth.
What’s the number on baler
@@sneezeacres5240 457 and a 435
Old people slippers. WT heck I use those everyday. Glad to hear it all went well brother. Have a speedy recovery.
@@southtexashay777 sorry bout that “old slippers “ just remind me of my grand fathers. Now I got a pair. Who knows may end up using them alot
@@sneezeacres5240 Just messing with you. LOL
So what size bales do you make
@@sneezeacres5240 4x5
Praying for you my friend. Hope it all went well.
Prayers for a successful operation. Thank you.
@@brycewiborg8095 thank you
I love mine…❤
Yep most do I believe
Thanks for watching
Darn, got my kit at JD but did not get the ring
Been awhile since I did that but assume ring isn’t major part just a keeper ring?? Might be able to reuse old steel one.Seals are what’s needed. I have since got the tools to install o rings on inside of cylinders. Makes life easier installing …..Amazon 17 bucks
Nice info, hope you have been well my friend.
Thank you. I have surgery on back in two weeks 🤞🏼
Waste of time
Well alrighty then
Can u tell me what size the bolt is that holds the PRO clutch on? Looks like a 3-31/2” lng. shoulder bolt maybe? English or metric threads?
7/16-20, 3.50, grade 5. According to the parts book
@@sneezeacres5240 Thanks very much! My elderly neighbors fell out and dropped the pulley. Much appreciated 🕊
@@StrdFrgman lol welcome however don’t thank to soon cub says that’s it wait till you put it in then thank me lol
Also fell out…???? Put a dab of BLUE lock tight on the end before putting in
@@sneezeacres5240 Thanks. They had it serviced (new belt put on) , and I’m not sure if they even put the bolt back in at all. 🤷♂️ Pulley just worked it’s way off. I can’t find the bolt on their 2 acres. Appreciate your tip! ✌️
Looks like a nice plane.
Don't you change the oil filter also?
I do but that’s not in this video. This one’s a review only. Oil changes in different one
Thanks for the video! Great job explaining the process.
Appreciate that. Thanks for watching
Nice work, looks great.
Hey long time no chat. Fields looking really good. Not sure I’ll be able to tackle it this year. Surgery in three weeks. 🤞🏼
@@sneezeacres5240 We are still in drought with no irrigation in sight. Good luck with your surgery Prayers to you my friend.
I like your system of replacing those spring fingers far better than the ones supplied by John Deere, where do you get those spring fingers and holders from and what are they called?
Part number E68906 for model numbers below 425001 and for 425001 and up its part number E68906.. I search internet for those number and where ever I can get like 10 or 20 the cheapest I get. Ebay, farmstores, etc. Dont really see any major quality difference in one to the other...
@@sneezeacres5240 Both of those part numbers you supplied are the same number. Also the bracket that attaches the springs to the reel, do you have a part number for those as well. This system is far better than sliding them off the reel, that takes time and time is money. BTW, love your channel, I learn much from it.
Other number was e69519 they call it a tooth. Hangers are e69520
Never ordered hangers actually they call it a clip
Also thanks for watching
The lights are always on because they’re LED, whether they’re on or off is inconsequential. You’ll never make up for the effort and cost of putting in a switch. You do a great job on video presentation.
Old school I guess ya shut lights off when no need lol
Okey. Thanks for this video! I changed mine and reassembled everything and i tighten the pto clutch hex screw with a hand torque wrench as hard as I could before it start making the pto clutch and engine pulley spine too so I thought it was tight enough and then after 45 min of mowing today the hex screw got loose and the pto clutch fell. I didn't lock the top part (underneath the blower part under the hood. Also my pto clutch was not flush against the drive pulley even with the washers. So i added 2 mores but everything dropped as soon as I engaged the pto on the second attempt. I hope it makes sens. I wish I could show you that way you could help me out.
If I understand correctly I don’t think you got it tightened enough then the clutch bolt that is. Hard to know from my end
🤠👍🚜💫Great video! … 🍪
Glad you enjoyed it
@@sneezeacres5240 Was able to clean my air filter on my Cub Cadet 1040. It was located on the side but basically the same process so your video was helpful.
Great 👍🏽 review!
Glad you liked it!
Instead of putting the locking pliers on the flywheel to keep the motor from spinning you just take out the clutch bolt before you remove the clutch bar holding the clutch
Well if you worked on one before you know that when it spins the clutch it doesn’t spin the whole thing just the inside! I tried it! But thanks for the suggestion
If Volkswagen built and engineered a mower this would be how they would have designed it.Complicated junk!
There’s been different comments about this saying there are easier ways but I’ve done this on three different mowers with similar components and have found for me this works well. Guessing there are always differences in the same mowers even. Glad you tuned in
Use the star hand bolt under your seat and put it on your front deck plate .so you can remove it toolless .I did.
How do you slide cab
you have to lift seat out and unplug wires also disconnect your arm levers, throttle cable, etc. then two bolts on back and two bolts up front look and youll find.. also lift arms up and move safety bar to hold arms then slide away i thought I did a video on this ill look
Case 1840 Skidloader servicing has this in detail
Perfect! Awesome thanks much . This was driving me insane
I bought one today. It has a broken chain that drives the hydraulic pump. I ordered a manual and a parts book. I have much to learn. This is a good instructional video.
broken chain piece of cake lol.. I hope yours works well for you they are great machines once you start using them.. imho..need any help let me know. Also have video on tips and upgrades if interested.. Good luck
@@sneezeacres5240 Thank you sir
I bought one today, but don't have it home yet. I've never run one and have a lot to learn. Hopefully my lessons won't be too expensive.
Bale consistency is extremely important. Bale Loader adjustment will improve delivery
EXCELLENT instructional video for braking system. Now for my 1845C 1996 Case skid steer UNILOADER. Thank you. 1845C in Maine
Your welcome thanks forwatching
Thanks for the tutorial.
Your welcome. Thank you for watching
need to learn to over steer the tractor a times over steering can move the pickup by 6 inches (left or right) or more if you do it just before the bale hits the pickup
Those little vibrating saws save so much time!!!! Love ours.
Hello, can you let me use a part of the video?
70s technology and it unloads it self on to the elevator eliminating the need for 2 people completely.
Lukey6534. Right 70s tech. The machine amazes me on what it can do. And how it could have been better with a little engineering in certain areas. Guessing these got parked when big round baler came about
@@sneezeacres5240 Probably the big square more so. Round bales don't ship well.
Something I need to do, now I know how, thank you.
Ya had to do mine a few times since I’ve had it. The sprocket that that pin goes into in that oil box wears also.
New 1840 owner...helpful maintenance information. Maybe you could do videos on seat lock adjustment or steering adjustments. Also, how did the chain hack work throughout the winter?
Talking about the repair or chains period. It’s no good pushing snow once there is ice on the ground it just spins and doesn’t /can’t get traction to push snow at all. It’s a must if you get snow. Just remember if using chains to put wheels so they are furthest from loader frame. I just started leaving them that way as more stable with wider stance
Steering should be under the seat once seat is out just a linkage that I believe is adjustable
Thanks for comment and watching. Hope your 1840 works for ya
Very nice💥 thanks man🛠
