You are a heck of a shot to be able to draw, wait it out, readjust and send it perfectly with all that field brush in the way. 100% awesome hunt.

I bought a brand new Das 17, not impressed with the design. The lower limb bezel at factory settings hits the riser also you can't adjust it inward if you have a stiff arrow. Next the limb butts hit the riser no clearance on my Bosen longbow limbs. The limb butts just touched the riser so did the tiller bolt bezel ever so slightly. This made the bow vibrate badly with noise. I just bought samick discovery long limbs for this riser that should have butt clearance. I had an old bezel that I ground on an angle so that it wouldn't hit the riser and also a little more adjustability. I emailed 3 rivers about this poor design, as the makers of this riser could easily fix this problem. 3 rivers won't re tool the machining nor fix this issue. 3 rivers always say you're the first person to complain about this. Also when I had two das dx5 grips cack and tradtalk also said 3 rivers had problems with the grips cracking, 3 rivers say you are the first we heard of this problem. For the high end dollar you spend on these risers, I believe it's not worth it unless this das fitting 21 inch riser has all the bugs worked out..

I could never get anywhere thinking about JUST the back tension! Actually when I concentrate on back tension, I get WORSE! Cause then you'll pull to anchor and concentrate on your back but then your hand won't release! lol...Theres no trigger...With a clicker, it might be much easier but I'm a barebow guy...

Where else in the video other in the end does he talk about white tape at the arrow tip/broadhead for aiming? I must have missed it. Thanks.

Thanks, that looks awesome. I’ll have to give it a try. I use the soft side of self sticking Velcro and stick it to back of my limbs about a couple inches below my loops. Seems to quiet it down quite a bIt.

I like the video and congratulations. I’ve noticed a lot of hunters praising God for killing a deer. I use to hunt and killed several as well with nice racks but later in life just don’t feel the need to kill them but go out to watch them. I do say that’s a very nice deer with a recurve. I don’t want to take away from it but just wondering about it. Enjoy your time outdoors and great shot.

I love when people nerd out, regardless of topic. It speaks volumes about people. And you definitely fall into that category! I started shooting a recurve a couple of months ago, partly to reconnect with my brother who is a bow hunter. And apart from the added benefit of spending more quality time with him the past 2 months than we have had in 15 years, I must say the community is really awesome and supportive. I went to a 3d shoot out and people were just having fun, enjoying everything, and giving me advice since i am clearly a novice. I dont think i will ever put down the bow again. Thank you for an excellent and instructive movie!
