I just now saw your video for the first time - and I’m sure I have loved you for a very long time ❤ I love you ❤
the cannabis plant, especially when grown for fiber.😅
❤❤
I have always grew catnip for the cats, had no idea it was good for humans. So how does one prepare it for human consumption??
😊🍃 ❤ Thank You
Lovely lady! So knowledgeable! Fantastic explanation.
I have black berry, mallow, and plantain all growing together in the park across the street (in the wild areas). 😁 So cool/handy that they grow together. I love nature!
😊
If you use this infusion in your salves or creams etc, do you include the ethyl alcohol in the list of ingredients in the final label?
Rose hydrosol helps in hydrating skin. I spray after I come back in after hot sun. Helps prevent sun burns
No lye?
No, this recipe does not require the addition of lye.
I just found your company online while searching for a particular product. So impressed with this facility and was surprisedby the size! I wish everyone would practice these sustainability principles ❤❤

Was the lavender foam made with oat milk or with creamer?
Hi there! We used oat milk to make the lavender foam. 🪻🌿
Thank youuu
Enako v Sloveniji we used it about 250 years
The same in Slovenia
I have one question is how long is the salve good for since the olive oil can go rancid in short time.
My mother used many home remedies.Just to name a few camomile, fennel, bay leaf, lemons, basil, parsley. my mother never use soap on her face, her entire life. She washed her face with real lemon juice and water every day of her life. She had no wrinkles even when she was older no crows feet nothing. And never ever did I see my mother have a blemish on her skin. My mother had the most beautiful skin, and that’s the truth. There were a Lotta home remedies and when my mother cooked it was all from scratch and whatever was in season whatever vegetables were in season is what we would have. And everything was absolutely delicious and her whole theory in life was you have to eat healthy so you remain healthy. I’m all about folklore myself. Better then traditional medicine.
Just remember that glycerine is a fatty alcohol and should just be used very seldom because it is not good for your liver. Chamomile syrup : use honey and a applecider vinegar.
I made pesto with it yesterday and it was delicious! I'd highly recommend giving it a try.
We will definitely be giving this a try! 🌿
Lemon Balm is Invasive -- do not grow it in ground-- it will spread everywhere, just like mint. I am sorry I ever planted it! It also will escape from pots if you let it flower and goes to seed, you'll spend a lot of time weeding them out.
Loving the replay ♥️ thank you!
Thank you for tuning in with us! 🥰🌿
You are gorgeous
May I ask what type of buckets are the plastic buckets you use during the extraction process. I would like to switch to buckets because I've outgrown the glass jars but not sure what is safe for alcohol storage.
Shana blackberries greatly revive the short termemoru. You obviously do not siffer from abstract memory loss otherwise you would have found the powerful memory effect of the berries!
Blackberries most of all revive the short term memory and inturn the long term memory. It does not matter if the friut it ripe or bitter or desicated the enzyme that revived memory doesnt die.
Nice but don't I need to put on tea leaf , Zajakallah
Hi, two questions. Can I use a powder herb? Does Mountain Rose glycerine derive from soy, coconut or palm? I can't have soy and not a fan of palm. Thank you
Hi there! Yes, you can make glycerites using herbal powders. The process would be the same as using dried herbs, but you may need to double filter and/or strain through a coffee filter to ensure that there is no botanical material remaining in your glycerite once the infusion process is complete. The glycerin we offer is made with cultivated organic soy, so it unfortunately does not sound like this product would be suitable for your needs, our apologies! We hope this information is helpful, have a lovely day. ~Indi 🌿
What about evaporation while it sits overnight then drips? Should the top and bottom parts be covered?
But can I eat it though 😋
We wish! 😆
I love cilantro, grew the plants from seed, Wonderful Aroma, delicate white flowers that turns to seed, Coriander
It really is in the same family as mint...they look so similar!
Yes, there are surprisingly over 7,000 species in the mint family! 🌿
@@mountainroseherbs that's so cool!
Can you run a percolation extraction with Lions Mane?
Is it deer resistant?
Yes, lemon balm and many other species in the mint family are fantastic deer repellents! Deer are not big fans of the scent that omits from lemon balm leaves and flowers, so they tend to steer clear of areas where the scent is prevalent. 🌿
You look like the lady who helped me with the young boy yesterday 😢 on the Danforth..

Hi, can you do this for any herb ? ie: lavender
Yes, glycerites can be made with countless different herbs including lavender!🪻
For any seaweed that contains B12, you'd want to dry it out of the direct sunlight (windy day), and rinse the salt water off first (to bring ph back down to neutral range) - else the B12 will convert to pseudo B12. Would be ideal to have it rainy in the morning and windy in the afternoon. That way you just let the rain do the work for cleaning it.
Glycerine is still an alcohol. If anyone is worried about consuming alcohol, you take tinctures DROPS at a time. Not shots. Your tinctures should be close to 50% water, 50% alcohol. So for every drop of tincture, only half is alcohol.
Hi there! Glycerine is considered a sugar alcohol, which contrary to its name, actually does not contain any alcohol or sugar. Also referred to as polyols, sugar alcohols are a type of carbohydrate whose chemical structure resembles both sugars and alcohol. As polyols do not contain any ethanol, they are suitable for people who prefer to avoid alcohol. We hope this helps explain the difference! 💚
What is the ratio of glycerine and water? Can I make a tincure with pure glycerine, without water?
Hi there! Alex used a 3:1 ratio of glycerin to water for this recipe. Glycerites made with dried herbs must include water to rehydrate the herbs and loosen up the botanical matter. Here is an article from our blog that offers a comprehensive how-to guide on glycerites: blog.mountainroseherbs.com/how-to-make-glycerin-extracts-glycerites We hope this helps, cheers! 🌼
I am going to have a good chamomile crop this year and will try a glycerite. Could you share the water and glycerine ratio for the menstruum? I have seen it different ways. Thank you!

Do you always need to use dried herbs when doing a glycerin extract or can you used fresh leaves that have wilted slightly?
Great question! Yes, you can absolutely use fresh botanicals to make glycerites. The key difference would be not diluting the glycerin with water, as the botanicals will not need to be rehydrated since they are not dried. Here is an article from our blog that offers a comprehensive how-to guide on the various ways you can make glycerites: blog.mountainroseherbs.com/how-to-make-glycerin-extracts-glycerites We hope this helps! 🌿
Hi. Why is there water added to the glycerine?
Hi there! Glycerites made with dried herbs must include water to rehydrate the herbs and loosen up the botanical matter so they can properly infuse into the glycerin. 🌿
@@mountainroseherbs In what proportion to the glycerin has the water to be? It isnt said in the video. Can you rehydrate the dried herbs beforhand? Why does the glycerine does not rehydrate the herbs?
Hello I was wondering if there is any way to extract all the benefits without using glycerin just using something we have in the house?
You can use Honey 🍯
Hello! That would entirely depend on what you have around your house. Here is an article from our blog that deep dives into the various ways you can make herbal extracts: blog.mountainroseherbs.com/guide-tinctures-extracts We hope this helps! 🌿
