Excellent video Mark. Many thanks. After trying to replace the diverter valve cartridge, I over tightened diverter valve's "motor retaing nut" and it broke. Do you know anywhere that I can buy the motor retaining nut only , not the whole plastic set?

So the boiler will cintinue to go on and off and the circulation will happen through the bypass right. Cause otherwise no circulation will get the pcb to turn the boiler off isn't it?

This is the most obvious answer and should have been checked first. I was online ordering the tool to reach up and remove the tap. Came across this. “How stupid do I feel?” It fixed my low flow kitchen tap instantly.

Am I missing something? When the new vlave was put in place the existing nut, olive and ptf tape was used. Is there an assumption that this would be changed?

  • @MarkBallardLTD

You can use the old olive and nut. No need to replace them. You can if you want to. If they are damaged or badly crushed then replace them.

My boiler ideal exclusive 2 hasn't been right since the council sent a person round for the gas service check. It comes on for around 2 minutes in the night 12, 1 am a 2 am and 3 am it does not heat up its just makes a noise. It is May 23rd and its warm so it shouldn't come on at all.

I need to replace a Vailliant VRT 350F as people find them very confusing. This is for a rental property. Rather annoying that you cannot install non vailliant controls with vailliant on open therm etc. What is your go to control? Thanks for sharing.

Hello Mark, thanks for the video! We got a Worcester boiler in a house we just moved in. The blue central light is always on (not flashing) even if the heating is not on. Is this normal?! In our previous house our Worcester boiler had the blue light on only when we had the heating/hot water ON. Cheers!

Your instructions are superb. Many thanks. A couple of questions if I may. 1. Do I have to change the olives if I'm installing new valves? 2. If I replace more than one radiator. Do I refill each radiator individually or reopen the valves on all (I've replaced four in a bungalow) and refill.
