    Most of those flowers were started back in February. I watched after the greenhouse for 9 days back in March while my friend and his family went on a cruise. We have recently had a few overnight lows in the lower 30's with light frost. Typically our last frost date is April 15th. The greenhouse holds heat fairly well and the heater is set at 48 and fortunately it rarely comes on.

    We have 3 moldboard plows. Only one has coulters. If I had coulters for the other 2 plows I would use them. The plow in this video was bought new by my grandfather in 1953. Dad said that my uncle took the coulters off in the late 1950's and has no idea what my uncle did with them.

    Until I remove that panel I really am not sure where the leak is. It could be an internal seal leaking and is pushing the fluid out the weep hole. A line might have a hole rubbed in it. Or the lower seal in the steering sector could be bad. What ever it is it should not be a difficult fix. Take care my friend.

    So far all I've found is a couple of minor leaks and and a missing bolt or two. I'm gonna work her a bit before I service the fluids and filters. When I get a chance I'd like to go over her with some polishing compound. I'm pretty sure that old original dull paint has just a bit of shine left in it.

    Got a cool evening Wind out of the North here right now supposed to get down to about 30° here tonight. I am delighted you're dad decided to get up out of that bed and tell himself he was not sick anymore. So many of our problems come from what we let come out of our mouth. It pained me greatly in that last video to actually let the words "I'm sick" come out of my mouth. But it was the truth the doctor agreed with me and the antibiotics have done me some good so I'm on the road to recovery. I'd look forward to the stories concerning how you acquired equipment sometimes they're almost unbelievable, I know my dump truck story is. Take care my friend, sure glad to hear from you🙂

    Great tractor! What type of soil is that? I'm in Tennessee and I have the continental z145 in my 135. It's all clay soil and I'm wondering if my massey can pull it through the clay.

  • @rodder2046
    @rodder20462 жыл бұрын

    Your 135 has the same horsepower but it weighs about 500 pounds less than a 150. I was plowing in what we call sandy loam soil (about 40% sand). But we have some pure clay soil in a few places on the farm. The 150 would pull through the 3 bottom ok, but the 165 that we had would pull through with no problems. However, dad has a MF 245 which is about the same as a MF 135, just a little newer. It has no extra weigh (fluid) in the rear tires and it just will not pull that 3 bottom plow very deep. So if I am going to plow in clay soil with the 245 I always use a 2 bottom plow. Back about 20 years ago I had a 135 that had fluid in the tires. It would pull the 3 bottom plow just fine. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you are planning on doing a lot of deep plowing you need to have fluid in the rear tires and/or rear wheel weights if you are going to use a 3 bottom plow. Even a 2 bottom plow is hard pull sometimes in clay soil without the extra weight in the tires. Thanks for watching and I hope my info was helpful !!!

  • @danagoglia1406
    @danagoglia14062 жыл бұрын

    @@rodder2046 thanks for that reply. All 4 tires have fluid in them. I have a 2 bottom that I will try in the clay. Hope it pulls with no problems.
