For a 2 gang 1 way smart switch where there is a Live, Neutral and two Load terminals, is the COM wire for the rest of the house inserted into the Neutral terminal of the smart switch?

Hell no....Nasty chemicals are killing us and our environment. Vinegar, baking soda and a long flexible wire are all you need.

I’ve lived in the same house for about 8 years and this had never happened before, but yesterday night it started in a tap that is hardly ever use, in the garage. Can anyone tell me why?

It's a worn valve and even if you don't use the tap, water can slowly erode the rubber seals

Hi! I bought linear track lights and the lights started flickering and have loud noises. It’s a dimmer switch system. Should I change the switch? Or it’s to do with the lights themselves. Im not sure if it’s the china or US system

Got news for you Man the House it does work. You have to add more baking soda in the drain than what you added same way with vinegar let it set for 5 to 10 minutes. Then you have to pour boiling hot water down the drain. I've used this method for more than 50 years. Learned this from my parents.

  • @jrzzrj

Baking soda and vinegar worked very well together. Period. You have to put the baking soda down the drain and then the vinegar and has to sit for a half an hour. Then you pour scalding hot water down the drain it works. But before you do that, I put a cup of salt down the drain and a cup of vinegar. Then follow with scalding hot water. My drains are all clean.

You have to use boiling hot water first and then boiling hot water after you put in the baking soda and vinegar. Instructions from Liquidplumr website: *4 STEPS TO UNCLOG YOUR DRAIN WITH BAKING SODA & VINEGAR* Follow these easy steps to unclog your drain: *STEP 1:* Start by pouring a pot of boiling water down the drain. *STEP 2:* Next, pour a cup of baking soda and 1 cup water/1 cup vinegar solution. *STEP 3:* Cover with the drain plug and wait 5 to 10 minutes. *STEP 4:* Pour boiling water down the drain again. The bubbling reaction from the baking soda and vinegar helps to loosen the drain clog, and the boiling water in step 4 helps remove it from your pipes.

Thank you! I’ve seen many plumbers used this all the time. Spent 1/4 price to clear choke for a 5min job. 😅 Doing it gently is the key than using hard force causing the rubber got stuck initially.

Good to clear sinks routinely, BEFORE they block, especially the kitchen sink. A mechanical plunger will then often suffice. Frequenty depends on type and frequency of use the sink gets...

I have sern elevtrician work on switches or installing stuff without switching off the circuit breaker.... its not super difficult, the main thing is , switch off the circuit breaker and make sure theres no electricity before touching the wires , which i believe is the reason people are afraid to do it themselves

before even watching I learned to never use the baking soda and vinegar method. And I always used with boiling water. Last time I could not get water draining fast, I pulled the traps and lo and behold, they were clogged like an artery with old baking soda. I've never seen it clear a clog drain anyway---I thought I was doing "Mainenance" but all i was doing was putting in a substance to slow my drain.
