    The commentary completely sucks! Levy can't even play any chess. He has no business being involved in the game other than the suckers who subscribe to his channel. The tall chinese guy and the two european women who used to do the commentary were the best team to handle commentary. Hess and maybe Naroditsky aren't good enough to handle commentary either.

    I'm curious where are the security protocols here. There's multiple camera guys right behind them, which is incredibly distracting and unprofessional (speaking as a professional videographer myself), and a woman walking behind them with her mobile phone taking videos and photos while they're playing. Unbelievable how unprofessional that is, and any of those devices could be used for cheating, especially the woman with the mobile phone. How is that allowed?

    Please, on every event people should reminds kids to handshake both players, that was hard to watch. I know they arent being mean, but they must know if they are going to make the first move of an important chess game

  • @jsparrowau
    @jsparrowauАй бұрын

    Agreed, the kids just needed to have someone supervising to say "Ok, now you can make the first move on the board, now you can shake Magnus' hand, Ok, now shake Richard's hand, Ok, now we need to leave". Why is that difficult? It just makes me feel so bad for Richard who is an incredible player, but didn't even get a hand shake.

    Agreed, Trent can be so smarmy and cringy. An IM can be a great host and complement a GM’s analysis by asking good questions, translating higher level ideas to less strong chess players, and managing the time and flow of conversation. But he is HORRIBLE at this! He oscillates between overconfident proclamations and abject self-flagellation at lighting speed and sucks up so much of the energy making things about himself. And trying too hard to be impressive or funny… he just needs to chill out a bit and be more humble and curious. Would improve by leaps and bounds.
