    Thanks for watching and commenting. I bought the four blue wheels from Amazon. I originally purchased four wheels from Lowe's but I did not like them b/c each wheel required four bolts to attach to the fan base. It's only been a month that I've had the blue wheels on my HF fans and they are absolutely PERFECT 😁. I've had to shift my fans in the workshop at least 20 times since installing the wheels and now the process is a piece of cake. Here's an Amazon link for the 4" blue wheels www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHYQWFH9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Thanks again for watching, Keaton. Have a great upcoming weekend. 👍🏽🤠

    Thanks J, I bought a second Harbor Freight 30" floor fan for my workshop and they're great at what I need them to do but moving them around has taken a toll on me. However, I must give credit where credit is due. The wheel concept was not a Don invention. The original idea was conceived by other heavy floor fan owners who deal with the same issue. Dubs, I made this water drinking barrel for a freind I met several years ago. He raises goats and the barrel now makes the goats more civil with one another. I didn't know that goats were so aggressive until the goat sheperd told me. If the goats know you, you're okay-fine but I guess it's like any animal that has a keeper that they know and feel safe around. Speaking of such, I need to check with this goat owner to see how his goats behave now that they have a drinking barrel. Thanks for watching, Dubs. 👍🏽🤠

    We had one of those fans that we have used to keep the horses cool. In fact, we used to put it in the dairy barn when we milked and it was super hot. Made things much more comfortable. We sold the dairy comes in ‘86 and it became a fan for the horses. Last summer , our new mare knocked it over and busted the motor and bent the shroud severely. The whole thing went in the junk this spring after many years of trouble free service. You’re right about the with Don. Ours was homemade and the base by itself was well over 100 lbs. I didn’t even try to pick it up and carry it. I went and got one of the loader tractors and let it do the heavy lifting I must be getting old. I use my head now where I never used to! 😀

    Ha, as I heard someone in the Corps say to use the bump between my shoulders for something more than a hat rack. Well, I finally did. The fan is super heavy and I got so tired of lugging it around using my heavy duty dolly. Ha, sounds like your horse might have tried to reposition the fan's airflow and got a bit too heavy-hooved with it. Gary, as much as I hate having to admit it, but age is advancing at a rapid pace. The bad part about it is that my strength is collapsing in my arms and a little in my legs.

  • @houndsmanone4563
    @houndsmanone45632 ай бұрын

    Thanks for the comment, Gary. I purchased my canopy on-line directly from Curtis Canopy Industries and as you can see from the video, it wasn't too difficult to install. Ha, I did manage to put a dent in my canopy after about a year by not paying attention to what I was doing. You must always remember that you have a canopy on your tractor or you too will learn the hard way, Haha 😁. It only takes one 'Oh-chit!' to undo all the goodness that it provides. I will admit, I almost forgot a second time while driving near some widely-stretched branches. I guess I ought to give an update since I've had my canopy on my GC1710. I definitely love having the canopy. Strangely enough, I've only used my canopy once with my backhoe b/c it was so dang aggrivating connecting/disconneting the backhoe. That's just my take on it. • @houndsmanone4563
    @houndsmanone45633 ай бұрын

    @Mtbambeno, so far the range has held up quite well. I don't throw as much lead down range as I thought I would but I made a few mods to the backstop to satisfy a few querks just for my liking. I did put 1 RR tie across the front to hold the clay-sand inside if it started to slide forward, however, it never-ever slid forward. Even with rain, the rain did not make the clay-sand break down and wash out. Overall, the build was a success and is still holding up. I need to do an update on many different projects to show viewers how several different builds I've done are still holding up well. Thanks much for asking and have a great week. 👍🏽🤠 04/16/24

    Isnt water going to leak through your wood cover!?

  • @houndsmanone4563
    @houndsmanone45633 ай бұрын

    Excellent question, Catherine. The rain water does not impact the performance of the septic system nor does it negatively affect the wooden cover. The wooden covers were built only to immediately locate the concrete access port holes directly beneath the wooden cover. Before I built these wooden covers, the concrete port holes were once buried by dirt and grass over the course of the years and I had to use a metal probe to locate where the septic access lids were. Now all I do is lift the wooden cover and voila (I immediately have access to the heavy concrete lids). If you get a chance, take a look at this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/amaMl5lxoNuXqNY.html It was my first time having to do a messy and dirty sewage filter cleaning. So I don't have to replace the cylinder on my J&S jack.

  • @houndsmanone4563
    @houndsmanone45633 ай бұрын

    Matthew, I got my bottle jack to work for a short while then eventually modified the valve screw that regulates the fluid flow into/out of the jack cylinder. Since that modification, the fluid holds under pressure. It will be a year next month. Bottom line, a replacement cylinder would be necesary. If I had to buy one, I found a bottle jack at O'Reilly's that could fit in the J&S lift w/o too much modification. The J&S motorcycle lift is great product but their bottle jack is the weak link and I don't think you can get anything from J&S any longer. Though J&S claimed their motorcycle lift was USA made, it may have been but I think the bottle jacks they used were from China (just my opinion). I'll have to check and see if I can find which bottle jack O'Reilly's was selling that could replace the J&S bottle jack cylinder but right now, I'm still using the jack that I showed in the video.

  • @houndsmanone4563
    @houndsmanone45633 ай бұрын

    Matthew, i was rummaging around and found the bottle jack that I mentioned could easily replace the original J&S bottle jack that came with the J&S motorcycle lift. The bottle jack can be purchased at O'Reilly's Auto store for much less than what J&S charges for their bottle jack. Here's a part number and a link for the bottle jack from O'Reilly's that should fit the J&S motorcycle lift. Part Number: PT34126. Watch the finger tip location, had me cringing ...

  • @houndsmanone4563
    @houndsmanone45634 ай бұрын

    Thanks @osi2484 for watching and commenting. There's pressure in the hydaulic line which does not allow the coupler to easily connect. The force applied to the coupler does not and will not mash one's fingers. Though it appears that it would sling shut and pinch one's finger, it will only clamp shut with a very limited amount of pressure and will not even pinch the finger. Applying pressure by the tool to the lines is like trying to connect two magnets with the same polarity. (i.e. two positive ends or two negative ends). There's little-to-no snapping pressure to crush a finger. This clamp-connector saved a tremendous amount of time and frustration connecting pressurized hoses with absolutely no injuries or mashed fingers. Again, thanks so much for watching and commenting. 👍🏽🤠 03/18/24

    Excellent build, and great ideas! Do you keep the rain barrel covered? Another way to do this so the animals can't pull it out, is to put one pipe all the way through, with a nipple on each end. Then you would cut big holes in the middle of the pipe to let the water into the pipe.

  • @houndsmanone4563

    Thanks for watching and commenting. I haven't had any issues with the watering system, however, the pigs enjoy pushing on the water barrel just for something to do (especially the boarlings). I must make another barrel for my other pig pen to allow for more water for the kunes. I like your idea and may try something like that. Also, your idea will always keep the pipe from being pulled out. When one of those pipes come out of the barrel, water gushes all over then there's a mess. • @houndsmanone4563
    @houndsmanone45635 ай бұрын

    Yes Sir, you will have a lot of work ahead of you. I just checked my culvert bridge two weeks ago and the bridge is still sturdy as day one. Please realize, I have water that flows into the ditch but it is not a flowing stream. If there was a running stream, I would have used cement in addition to the wooden boards for the headwalls. The cement would stand a better chance if there was running water. You do not want water to get between the walls of your culvert pipe and the packed dirt/stone because once water finds a little pathway, it enlarges the opening and then all your material washes away. I hope you video the entire process and place on KZread. Thanks much for stopping by and commenting. Good luck. 👍🏽🤠 01/24/24

I've always liked that look. It reminds me of our older historic homes up in PA around Gettysburg. 👍🏽🤠 @@ironmaiden3751

    Hello Sir, I saw your KZread channel ''Houndsman one''. Your channel has many videos but not enough views and subscribers. Your channel should be optimized, your videos are very good but your video optimization is very bad Example: SEO score is zero, no perfect title - description - no SEO friendly tags added, no social media sharing Platform and some in your KZread channel Settings are not correct. Because of this your video is not reaching the people who are interested and you are not getting enough views, likes and subscriptions Many problems for which your video views and subscribers are not good. As a result, your video views are not affected. You need SEO for your KZread channel immediately. As a video SEO expert, I look forward to your response. Thank you.

    Thank you Masuda for such a detailed analysis of my channel's deficiencies. I do not have many videos but enjoy conversing with my video friends. I have no clue what SEO is. I do not do social media (i.e. FaceBook, Instagram, TikTok, etc). I enjoy views and comments from considerate viewers and hope the viewers enjoy watching my vids. I have been blessed to have a tiny group of Subscribers who support me. I value them and support their channels, as well. If you can explain SEO easily to this old guy, then I'll listen to see if it's something I'd like to implement in my channel. I use some tags in my vids but if I need more, then I'll create more. I just can't see making up tags that don't produce. Thank you again for your detailed analysis. Maybe I'll learn more to get outside the box i'm stuck in. Have a fine week and a great 2024 year, Masuda 😊 👍🏽🤠 01/15/24

    Hi Don! That’s a great upgrade! My old pancake compressor is noisy as hell too, which is why I got the Kobalt QuietTech compressor and like your new one, it is SO much quieter than the old pancake compressor. Thanks for sharing!

    I remember that video, Martin. I was debating on which replacement compressor to purchase. I didn't care about brand but just wanted relief from that noisy pancake compressor. We needed to blow out the bottom of our refrigerator intake grates so I brought the pancake compressor inside the kitchen and what a mistake. The noise and vibration made some of the hanging pictures shift on the wall. Had we owned an indoor pet, it surely would have run away from our home. Haha, 🤣 Take it easy, Martin. Don 👍🏽🤠 01/10/24

    @@houndsmanone4563 That’s why if I’m using the pancake compressor, I set it outside and run a long air hose inside. The thing is too f*cking loud to be in the house!

    It surely is. The old, noisy pancake compressor made my head hurt after being inside the garage while it was running plus you could hear the pancake compressor throughout the house. The California Air compressor is nice and quiet. Thanks much for stopping by and commenting. Have a great new year. We surely need a break form all the crap that's been going on the past three years. Hopefully, all that will change this November.

Hope you guys aren't getting to slammed with snow & ice. It's been getting colder down here but nothing like up home. Be safe and stay warm. Hey Don, I do like that thing a lot, coz the only thing loud should be music. Or like, ya know, the ladyfriend in the throws of passion. Ha! Anyways back on point, I was researching compressors a few years back, and the California ones were billed as the quietest...well I guess they ain't lying. Happy new year buddy, hopefully the civilianized world will get smarter in 2024, but if not oh well...that's why dudes like us live away from cities anyways.

    Mean Gene. Good to hear from ya. Maybe the California Air compressor might be the only positive thing that bears the CA name. I just got off the phone with my brother who lives out in CA and that place has become so crime ridden. So far, the new compressor is a delight. I should have gotten it sooner. Man, the price of this particular compressor decreased by $95 from the time of my purchase. That drastic price drop made me sick. Happy new year, brother. My hope is that we get a new president and get rid of this entire administration. TRUMP 2024!!

    Hey there John. Man, it's good to hear from ya. The new compressor is quite a nice find. So far it's filled my every need but I'll know more as time goes on. Guess what, you never know the capabilities of something until you need to do a specific task with it and and that's when you discover that it can do it or it can't. That's kinda when you find out the fine-print details about a new tool, vehicle, or anything you add to your arsenal. I'm hoping to eventually complete a build of my 32'x50' fully insulated metal building. I'm so far behind getting things done b/c I've focused all my time and energy on the building project. Man, I remember when I used to be able to juggle numerous projects without even a glitch BUT those days are long gone. 😁 Okay my friend, I wish the very best to you, your bride, and your fine family. Be well and stay safe. Oh...and.... Happy New Year!! Don 👍🏽🤠 01/07/24
