Hard work and talent paid off. James McQuade was in my geography class in grade 10 at QEH. I asked him what was in the little silver case he brought to class. He said it was “his microphone”. He was humble. He had a great song at the variety show that year called “Oreo Reverse”.

I think I see the vision behind the album they tried to make. The beats Dre made are pretty straight forward, pure hip-hop, a loop, drums and Dre's trademark percussions. Some of these sounds were also used for 2001.
