Automotive ASMR

Welcome to Automotive Asmr.
This was created partly out of selfishness and partly out of an appreciation for all things automotive. Selfishness? A little bit of self care goes a long way. Working full time in the field of mental health has its challenges and while its my passion, I can rest assured leaving one passion at work while transitioning to the other. AUTOMOTIVE CULTURE! As we all go though our days responding to and reacting to the obligations of life, why not take a short pitstop here to be present in the moment without need to attend to any commitments. However we do take the approach of learning/appreciating the raw sights and sounds from automotive aesthetics, customization, restoration, and building. For those who have supported from the very beginning to those who are just passing by, there is something for everyone and not just for the car connoisseur. If its a passion for cars, a need for R&R, or curiosity, we can all take time to “Enjoy the sights and sounds”.

Do you need to use a allen wrench to tighten the bolts. Mine just spins

For the horn ground, did you just coil the wire to the metal ring part that bends around the horn? Also, did you have to shave down the rubber boot for the hub at all?

  • @automotiveasmr4512

Yes, i coiled it. I didnt have a soldering tool at the time and this was the best option.

Yes, bolt everything up loosely first and then tighten when the exhaust is adjusted as best you can.

How are you getting the cruise control cable to be placed flush between the hub? I have Viilante and NRG and there is no way I can get the cable to be flush between the two.. This has been a big issue for me. Does your hun have a groove in place specifically for the CC cable or??

i sandwiched the cruise control wire between the steering solutions bracket and the grounding bracket. the steering solutions bracket has an exit to fish the wire through. at 4:24 you can see where the cruise control wire exits by my right hand

How did you get yours to fit though? Mine catch’s when turn my wheel and I won’t be able to fill turn my wheel either way I go. Did you do a cut out or tape it against the hub or?

Interesting solution for the horn button ground wire. Could've used the 2nd grounding ring between the steering wheel and the quick release. The top metal tab on the horn button just needs to touch the grounding ring.

which wheels did you go with? I just picked up my second AP1 and am having a real pickle finding 17" wheels with a simple 5-8 spoke design that clear these calipers as well as exist for sale still but also have correct offsets for the S2000 to keep a staggered setup :(
