Hi, I'm Matt, a self-employed handyman with a love of fixing things. One of my greatest joys is walking into Home Depot and being inspired by all the home improvement possibilities!
My aim with this channel is to be a resource for other self-employed individuals running a home service business. I focus specifically on the handyman trade, but similar service businesses can benefit from my content as well.
You can expect tips on starting a handyman business, building systems, pricing, marketing, customer service, and useful tools of the trade. Email me below if there's anything you'd like to see a video on.
Cheers!

that's a killer beard, I'm jelly. I agree with answering the phone, it's so inconvenient but there has been countless times people calling wanted something done right away, they didn't care how much. Last week was a prime example. Simple fascia repair on a 2 story house. It took me 15 mins $950. If I hadn't answered the phone, someone else would've made that easy money.
Where to buy the "Spring Bolt"? I can't find it on amazon. Any links?
Why is the sound always off?
And if you ever hear “you’re the 10th handyman I called, run.”Yes my experience so far with clients that need you NOW, needs to constantly call or “ you’re the 10th handyman I called” usually are not ideal, they wait till last minute to resolve issues and now they want you today to do a $1000 dollar job but for $100 and they will be very very demanding. The other type of client who is well organized and willing to wait means they plan well, since they plan well they’re good at managing their money so they got no issue paying what is right and working with you. If you’re not happy to service a client because you got a bad vibe, guess what? your intuition is correct.
Great presentation! You've convinced me. Now I need $500 to buy it
Very nice setup, you can fit so many tools in there.

theres nothing fancy about that, pal
this dude looks like he gunna eat my soul...
How can 4 screw/bolts on the back panel be strong enough to hold the whole cabinet up?
Excellent cutting stance for a kickback!😂
If you have 2 GND, 2 L and 2 N wires coming out of the ceiling, then what do you do? What size conduit did you buy?
Spend £17K on mini acro's and put your head in the way of the camera when drilling the holes & dont show what fixings to use. Easypeasy Japaneasy.
I like the storage on the rear doors.
Over 10 grand in a pass for five months we have another home we are about to sell I need to paint again stain the fence and refinish the wood floors people don’t take care of nothing the lady she let her dog pee on because the lady had them all over the house this dog was so confused he didn’t know where to use the bathroom at all of the puppy pads I crazy what people do to other peoples property and don’t care because it’s not there’s 🤬🤬😱😡

Hello, am I able to link my bank to the app?
word of caution ,, great idea however wanna watch line of fire with that saw (kickback)
This looks like a quick and good way to join fittings. Titebond requires a certain amount of clamping pressure to create a “stronger than wood” joint and I wonder if this system gets to that point. Another concern is that by twisting it together like that, most of the glue seems to come out of the joint before any pressure is achieved. This looks more complicated than just using a standard rail bolt. It’s nice not to have to plug a hole though. 🙂
What’s the difference between the DIY 2 and the DIY 2 M version?
The DIY 2 model is a more pro-oriented device with two modes: Image mode and Expert mode, which provides raw radar data about your wall's contents. This Expert mode feature is very useful for professionals who sometimes work with non-standard wall setups. The DIY 2 M has only the Image mode, which is actually the mostly used mode in both models. The DIY 2 M is easy to use and works perfectly well for identifying standard setups like studs, pipes, and wires, but it may be limiting if you encounter something unusual in your wall.
great camera work amd good commentary. good job!
Why are you wearing that stupid mask that does nothing?
Good tips 😊
Phone number for home depot near me
I saw a meme just last week that had a guy looking at his phone and the caption is, "Me waiting for my device to stop ringing because I don't use it for that." 😂
A review; Without a single negative? This is more like a sales pitch.
Jobber is too expensive and way overpriced for what it offers. It’s basically an invoicing app with a few extra features. No value at all
Great!
👍
used a stud finder to avoid studs .....
Bed siderail
Shower bench
Where and or how to purchase this tool would make this video a "ten". Thank you Ron from Burlington Vt.
Wasn’t helpful at all. Just a video of the tank.
Step one have all the tools needed to hang a cabinet ✍🏾
Most useless video
Why are you wearing a mask?
Very interesting. Just bought my first van, and was brainstorming how to set it up. I’m a landlord/handyman myself. Got some good ideas here.
Been mulling purchasing a tamper for like 2 years now and here ive got all that stuff in ny scrap pile 😅
Video Update: the job reminder notification sent to clients will display arrival windows, not just fixed-time jobs.
This guy never answers questions recently.
How would one advertise for assembly jobs? Lol - but seriously it does make sense that you make the most if going to several houses each day for quick items instead of long single jobs where the margins can fall away quickly
I know you can integrate quickbooks with this since quickbooks doesn't have the ability to do work orders/job tickets. Do you have any tutorials on how to do this?
How are your rear doors holding up? I want to add some shelves and tools to my rear doors but I don't want to wear out the hinges too fast
Take the doors and shelves off and it's half the weight!!! Easy
Cost per each is huge as well as tools assist users in automating data entry, pulling updated prices of materials and equipment. Housecall pro, you have to load your price book. I’ve been looking for a software that is easy to use, price book per zip code etc with labor and material costs. I’m a 1 man band sitting on 6 estimates currently. Hardest part is preparing, figuring out numbers, scheduling as well as working the field all day. All of these comparisons still doesn’t show US contractors the easy/fastest way to prepare an estimate. All the extra stuff is good but we all can go old school without “running late” etc/ “see the texts/calls”. Needed is 1 software that is simple, click, drag n drop, everything is in the price book to make estimates (hardest part) a BREEZE!!
