Those are junk
Very cool video. I really like the tool box setup. Currently lifting my 2001 frontier and needed some insight on the torsion bars. Thank you for making this video. 🙌
Where is the no-ox?
OK, but that battery is in the constant state of discharge if you don't clean it off. Don't believe me? Take a volt meter, one lead to ground, then touch the top of that filthy battery with the other lead.
Steering Wheel? LOL! Jokes aside, that's a great mount, you got links?
Updated description with Amazon link!
I would've tested for leaks b4 I replaced the bed. What what make of fuel pump, & what year ranger?
You helped me fix my truck thank u
This is the best feedback! Glad I helped your situation in some way.
Thank you brother !
Righty loosy on this one...
Yep!
Good work
10/10 video
Thanks for the feedback!
Wow nothing to see here
Mines keeps stalling I’m at a loss. Has New Fuel Pump New Fuel Filter New Idle Air New Fuel Pressure Regulator New Mass Air Flow Sensor New Coolant temp sensor and still Stalls always fires back up runs good then coming to a stop will randomly shutt off. Always fires back up??? Any ideas
I have the same problem. Most ppl say it's water pump. After detailed check beneath the car, it turns out to be the tensioner itself. it vibrates, moves back and forth and makes squeaking noise while on load. I will try the lube method to see if it's gonna be quiet. i think it's a common issue for similar models. Don't go for water pump first!
If it wobbles and is moving back and forth, try changing the pulley. I wouldn’t lube if it is already broken.
any potential harm from lube?how is your tensioner doing after 1 year? No more noise? I do hear noise directly from the tensioner itself when it wobbles. thanks!
@leoli4089 no noise since I lubed it. Feel free to lube away! Make sure your tensioner pulley is not the issue though.
@@ijfim got it. Thanks!
I followed the instructions you gave in the video. The only thing the brake light was flashing so i engaged the parking brake and realsed it and everything is normal now. The parking brake went off. THANKS For the Video it helped out alot.👌🤝
No problem. Glad the video helped
I laughed so hard at the end
Glad my pain contributed to your joy lol! In the end it worked out…the squeak was fixed by squirting oil inside the tensioner mechanism.
@@ijfim I meant no Ill will by it , I’ve been there before
@ChefS.Keller I know you didn’t have I’ll will. All in good fun. Some “fixes” don’t end up working out in the end.
You had a very helpful video, so I wanted to ask an unrelated question: I just had a bit of a scare with my 2010 Camry because I only recently got it as a gift from my Great Aunt. I was testing the range on the 'arm' button while walking to my car, but when I tried to 'disarm' the locks nothing worked and I had to unlock it manually. This of course triggered the alarm and eventually locked the engine, but later my dad was able to fix it (somehow). The crux is, how do I safely engage and disengage the locks, and how do I stop the alarm? (Sorry for the word vomit)
Sounds like a weak key fob battery or a corroded key fob battery to me.
Here it is in May of 2024 and your video is still significant. Thanks I got the info I needed. They make a metal thermostat housing for this explorer now, for anyone curious. My interest was where the 3rd hose ends up. Behind the tire obviously. Great stuff. Other videos failed to show that.
Did you buy a gasket kit to replace all the gaskets during this process?? Or did you just buy gaskets separately like for the plenum
I think I bought only the plenum gasket because I wasn’t taking the entire intake off.
@@ijfim i have to replace the knock sensor, so i have to remove the lower intake to get to the sensor. I have it relocated at the moment, but want to put it back to factory. Some smog places here in California wont smog it, if it sensor is relocated. I found a place that did, but if sell the truck, i don’t want someone else to have issues. It doesn’t pass the visual inspection. Mechanically it runs great and doesn’t throw codes. Since i am there, i want to replace the valve cover gaskets that leak alittle
@raiderman28 ok, if you get that deep into it, I would replace that big coolant hose from the video. I also did the knock sensor relocation.
@@ijfim i replaced it before, when it was leaking
Excellent tutorial, well placed camera placement, great instructional demeanor and voice. This video will be absolutely helpful when I attempt to replace my 2000 Range’s radiator. As a thanks, I watched both of the sponsored advertisements after the video completed, one for auto insurance and the other for toenail fungus treatment.
Thank you for the feedback and support! Hope this helps you when you change that radiator.
Any update? Thanks
Still leaking but not as bad as it was. This product might work!
car had around 56000 miles ?
Low miles, yes.
There's a pair of pliers from TEMU that spreads vacuum hoses to remove them. To check the purge valve, warm the engine and at idle, there shouldn't be vacuum at the egr. Raise the idle to 1000 rpm and there should be vacuum. Lower the idle to idle and the vacuum should stop. If there's vacuum at idle with the engine warmed up, the purge valve is bad.
If I can push and pull the reservoir by not much but it moves and it leaks .. do I need to buy the whole pump or just the reservoir ? It doesn’t leak a lot but I was thinking it was the line and replaced that but still doing the same thing.
In my opinion, it’s cheap enough to give it a try. I think the reservoir is leaking.
Very good video. I didn't know there is three different ways to adjust my headlights
This is how NOT to index your torsion bars. This is how to temporarily install torsion bars so you can take it to a shop and pay someone who knows what theyre doing to correct it Those anchors need to sit in the frame. If your suspension fully bottoms out your anchors are going to turn slightly and that setup can snag on a rock, pothole, curb etc. you can total your suspension and truck. Please do it right and make a new video for your viewers.
Bruv calm down, your acting like some redneck engineering has ever killed someone
Great information. I have a '97 2.3L Do you know where the heater control valve vacuum line attaches on the other end?
It’s really small inside the diaphragm section. Opposite side of the linkage.
Thanks! @@ijfim How about the other end of the vacuum line? Does is go through the firewall somewhere?
@nettles3393 oh, ok. Yes it should be one of the 2 grey mini hoses coming out from under the A/C dryer and evaporator and fan motor area.
I will say if u don't have a bolt u can use an Allen wrench in that hole
Exactly!
torque convert solenoid code/shuddering. driving me bonkers. my mechanic says his transmission shop wont' even touch a Nissan transmissions. any tips ?
I fixed that problem on a dodge neon one time. The owner hit something and knocked the wire loose from the connector. Maybe your connector suffered some damage somehow. I would carefully inspect all wires before diving in to the transmission repair. Unplug and check for pin corrosion.
What is the name of the little valve you replaced those two black o-rings?
Not sure, might be called an “orifice,” or “reducer,” or “adapter”
$20 a qt dude buy a $2 funnel
Would it work on my 2008 Honda civic hybrid 1.3l I have stiff pedal as well
Hybrids are a little different sometimes. Some don’t use the same methods for braking. It can’t hurt to see if there is a hose coming out of your brake booster, accessing it, and then cleaning it. It’s worth a shot!
@@ijfim thank you very much I'll have a look at this
Man your making this look easy I’ve been battling all day with my 99 I’m going to attempt just removing the balancer and belt off tomorrow morning
There isnt an o-ring down inside the pressure fitting where the hose threads into? Im kind of stumped by mine because it is leaking from the fitting, but if you look close its not a regular pressure fitting. The hose side is beveled like a hydraulic fitting, while the female side is machined flat. There is no way for the hose and fittings to mesh like a hydraulic fitting.
Are you sure all the parts are correct? Sounds like it shouldn’t have worked from the start? Maybe your pressure hose is built as a 2-piece connector somehow and one of the pieces fell off when you disconnected it?
@@ijfim thanks for replying. I actually just posted a video on my page about it if you want to see what I'm talking about. I came up with a novel solution to fix it that seemed to work very well. Unless someone took the thing apart before I got the truck it appears to all be there. Also it seems like a pretty prolific problem bc there are tons of forum post about it, and all trucks I've seen at the junk yard leak right there.
lol fixed the wrong thing. Kinda funny just use a screwdriver to listen or a stethoscope. It’s prolly the other idle pulley
You are right! Good advice. I tried the cheapest and easiest fix first before the expensive and time-sucking tensioner assembly. A little lube shot in the spring hole of the tensioner quieted it down. I haven’t had to re-address the situation since that action.
@@ijfimI’m not sure where that is that’s news To me. Do you have a photo or link to show this area ?
@All-about-everything I have updated the description with a link to the tensioner. Please look at the photos on that website. I used a spray lubricant called “Pro Lube” to spray into the void of the tensioner assembly. It has been fine since I published this video. I don’t know why Toyota insisted on designing a tensioner this hard to access!
Poor made video. Merely check the level took you 6 minute. Darn stบp¡d.
My Isuzu Ascender is so hard to fix. I have a powersteering leaking also. And is way far to reach in to it😢
Might be worth digging into even though it is hard. Fixing leaks is a good feeling!
@@ijfim Thank you for the good advice. Do you know like how much a shop charges to get the seals in?
hello sir! if you adjust your tosion. in theory it will extend the shocks right?
It should extend them if you increase tension.
No way dude ! Took me all day to replace the shocks I can’t imagine doing this. How much you charge me to do my xterra? 🫣
Haha! Yeah, sometimes this stuff is rusted on.
This fit ford ranger 3.0 xlt 00?
I think so, it fits like 30 years of ford vehicles. Check with autozone app to see if it’s the same part number
Would this be the same process on a 2002 frontier 4wd ?
Not completely sure since there are variations. That year may have shocks and springs rather than torsion bars though.
Cap on side is so you can either reel right or left handed
Did you put the car in park service mode before doing this job?
No, and the parking brakes were released.
The other video does not say to take your foot off the brake.
The other video does not say to take your foot off the brake.
Exactly. During the procedure, don’t take your foot off the brake.
thanks for the good info. I used to live in Cheyenne. Small world lol
Was a great little city, I moved on as well.
Did it fix the problem?
No, the engine was toast. But we got his fluid level correct!
Fuck Amazon they always send me the wrong shit with a pussy ass
Absolutely reboot the OEM axle if you caught the boot being torn early enough, and haven't damaged the joint. All the china axles are GARBAGE. Do not put that shit on your xterra. You're better off getting a used one from a junkyard in good condition. This is the same for almost every make, toyota, nissan, subaru etc. etc.
Thank for your great video. Need to work on my 2000 ford ranger2.5l next😂
