I know this is an old video, but any thoughts if you cut into the side 1/4 of inch too much? Asking for a friend..lol.. the frame covers it just fine I'm just.. I meant he''s just worried about the cut spreading. I was thinking about putting a patch on both sides to reinforce is this over kill?
You can never overkill vinyl. There's a lot of pressure against it, so two patches are better than one. Peace of mind outweighs the waist.
@@Pondiver Thanks for the quick reply.. Ill do it then for sure. I installed the skimmer but havent filled the pool back as I am doing the plumming and installing the sand filter you recommended in another video
Most excellent! You will love the hard plumbing. The rigidity makes it worthwhile. It may not be so, but it instantly felt like the pressure was twice as good once I plumbed it.
Big don't: don't use galvanized steel for exhaust lowering/stack extending. A big do: sand the paint off anywhere you're applying gasket material/silicone.
I like the cadence of your speech. Easy to understand.
Thanks, this was helpful!
I bought the 12x24 salt water pool system. I love it except it's not producing chlorine. I live in Arizona sun and the stabaiizer is getting better. But I think I better go get some help with the stabalizer so the chlorine won't dissolve daily. I have had the pool up for 2 week now and chlorine is very low.

Hahahaha, the word of the day "chloramine". If you smell chlorine near swimming pools, think twice before you cool down. 😂😂😂
I have the smaller skimmer, you said it does work to upgrade to the wide mouth one using the same hole and just cutting it bigger?
Hey dude , great video. I have just set my one up today. But I am looking for advice on what to put at the bottom of the main grill to catch the ash so I don’t have to scrape away at it - any suggestions
I did a mod video for the Joe. I used a box to catch the ash.
@@Pondiver ah ok 👍🏼. I’ll take a look. Here in the uk is only now bbq season so looking to do some mad bbqs 😁. Any tips ?
Throwing some great no bs information that helps people like me. Idiots with no prior install knowledge. I am curious how long these last for people.
It still holds water. 👍
Several years.
What offset have you used where you didn't need to re fuel after a few hours? what an absolute moron
I would advise before putting anything inside the firebox and / or cook chamber (looking at you dryer vent), make sure it is food safe! Lots of that stuff is NOT and can actually poison you. This applies to gasket sealer, as well. Lavalock makes food safe gasket sealer and felt tape as well. Anything stainless steel or aluminum is great! Aluminized Steel can be used, also. If not those, you need to verify that it is safe for food. If you cannot verify it, do NOT use it! Anything galvanized or zinc coated should NEVER be used inside the cook chamber or firebox.
This comment was better than the video!
HoCi ???? You lost me with this nonsense. I thought you know chemistry. Hypochlorous acid is HOCL !!!
Is it nonsense? Do you not know that you add hydrochloric acid to pool water? It's OK. I didn't either until I started looking into it.
Great review! Thank you. Just bought this pool.
Dude doesn’t know anything about an offset smoker lol
I didn't at the time, but things are different now.
Still, that offset was terrible.
Still like it??
Yes. I do.
This video has been extremely helpful in shed construction, my hubby and I are on day 2 of building an arrow 14x14 and I can say if I didn't watch your video a couple of times we definitely would have struggled a bit more! Thanks ❤❤😊
My Oklahoma joe is an older one but made out of 3/8" steel. I can do all of these things haha
Helpful video. Thank you!
Great review! Very thorough. I’ve had pool problems and you know what you’re talking about. Nice.
Where’s the next video? 😢
I am building my 10x4 shed on a concrete slab and the instructions tell me to square the floor frame before anchoring it to the concrete. but every time I move each corner I keep getting two different measurements off by about an inch. How do I make this task easier
Push on one of the corners until the measurement is equal.
If I want to grill also with this smoker can I use the barrel for a charcoal grill or can I only use the fire box as a grill also?
Yes. Just, so happens I'm using the barrel today to cook steaks. You can use either side.
I can't even get it to maintain 200 lol. Half a bag of charcoal gone and it won't even stay at 200
Love the raised bed, looks like a great product.
Run it on waste.
I just use the smaller pump that came with my pool. Set it out side pool and let er rip
What size are the extra hoops you put in?
3/4 pvc
😂😂 “super slow.”
Thanks! 😊 🙏
One year later... how's the greenhouse holding up? Did the pvc pipe you added give off a chemical reaction to the plastic?
Can you explain how you bent the PVC pipe to fit? Thanks.
Thank you very much for this most helpful information!!! Much appreciated!!!
I am usually the last person to say things like this (its kinda millennialish) but concerning the dryer vent, read this: Zinc toxicity can occur when an individual is exposed to and breathes the heated yellowish fumes produced from welding or heating galvanized steel. For hot-dipped galvanized steel the recommended maximum temperature is 392 F (200 C), before the metal presents a toxicity risk.
That's good info and I appreciate it. I wonder if it matters that the location is where the heat is escaping. Regardless, you are on to something here. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video. Appreciate the info.
This is my second year with the same pool and so far, it is also in great condition but thank you. I now know what to watch out for and an easy fix.
Great information 👍🏾👍🏾
First of all: Don’t buy one. Impossible to cook on with massive temperature fluctuations. Burns everything
I bought the same skimmer and do not like it at all. Hard to keep it in place. Have you found a better one?
Great video thanks!
Turn off the tree. It's not a fair level of light for the Intex light.
It needs to be bright
Thank you sir
Great video! Just recived my Oklahoma Joe Highland and I am going to do all your recommendations before i start using it!
Just bought one can’t Waite !!
Thank you for sharing your review. You have done an excellent job of modifying your greenhouse and I’d love to see the step by step tutorial.
Great vid
Can I get the link to the "dryer vent" referenced in this video... Im not seeing it in the description
When is the video for the base coming? I really like the way it looks.
snaggeed this for $250
