  I was just thinking about this the other day because I watched a video that called the use of Like in "I was like..." a *quotative word*.... A word that starts a quote. And I realized we also use in American English (not written English but def casual English) : she goes "I like him" and then I go "no you don't"... So the word "go/goes" is also a quotative word similarly to "like"
