Sailing EV

This KZread channel is a record of my attempt to be free and live a life out there on the Oceans. All I know is my dream of sailing endlessly and exploring this planet. It has consumed me for 3 years now and has been documented here.
I have worked so hard in the film industry as a 1st Assitant camera operator with IATSE 667 and its time I made my own movie. A movie about a man who up and leaves his life as a cinematographer and heads south on his floating home camera in hand in search of freedom... In search of an intentional life at sea. I have spent years working on films sets all over this country learning how feature films are made and I intend to use this experience to make a truelly entertaining KZread channel. Follow along on my journey and help me with this huge undertaking. Make a comment subscribe and become a part of this sailing adventure. Now is the time to do what must be done when SAILING IS IN YOUR BLOOD.

Hey, I had the same situation recently in Colorado about a pump shorting me. I filed a complaint online with the state and the next day got a call from the department official who went on to tell me they appreciate the input and now this station on a "short list" meaning they are going to be checked regularly.

The very first line of this video is. Yes he bought a boat in Ontario but no hell no thousands of degrees no, did he not fix it up enough to go on the epic adventure we have all watched for the past year and a half 90% of the videos are of him fixing something that has broken on his boat or that he has personally fucked up and created a situation for himself This is not a sailing channel This is a channel saying what not to do if you ever own a boat Number one being educate yourself and prepare for every voyage This would’ve solved 70% of his issues

I think this is probably example number 100 of your airheaded and ill preparedness to be in the ocean as you currently are Why was your jib not secured properly? If you had secured everything properly for the crossings that you’re on, you would not have been knocked down and would not have flown in and destroyed all of your electronics. I’ve actually stopped contributing to your patron because of your very poor judgment 90% of your situations were created by yourself. I seriously think you should sell your boat and go back to shore.

Assuming you wind up passing through Miami and the Florida Keys on the way to the Carib/VI’s If you return home via the same basic route you should qualify for the North American Great Loop Association burgee. It’s a bucket list trip for many people and an achievement in its own right. Check it out 🤙🏼

Oh this is funny. Every time somthing happens that takes some handling you grab your phone and start punching it. I taught a class a Broward Community College in the late seventies. Called “sailing Broward to the Bahamas”. I ended up having to change from a regular class room to a lecture hall with over 75 people in it. We had no: GPS, no computers of any kind with apps, no chart plotter or MFD, no Windy or Predict Wind. No decent weather system of any accuracy. And once you left port, you really were on your own. You real HAD to know how to NAVIGATE. I have crossed the stream hundreds of times. About the first 25 or so in my little 26’ outboard powered sloop. And over half of them from Ft Lauderdale. Cruised tens of thousands of ocean miles in my “bigger” boasts, to 46’. The first 20 or so yrs were without the afore mentioned equipment. But you bet, I was first in line to buy a GPS. And mush latter, a plotter. Now yes, you are right. Don’t mess with the GS in N weather. Have been caught out a few times and it was no fun at all. Even in my larger well found boats. And yes, even now with the reefs in shambles, the Bahamas are amazing.

A wimp eh? So what happens when your dragging anchor in a blow with out a windlass? What am I going to pull up 200 ft of chain by hand? Just the tension alone in 25 knot gusts makes it impossible with an 11 ton vessel. Sure you can day sail a 36 with rope Rhode and no windlass. You would be a fool not a wimp to go 1000 nm with out a windlass there armchair captain😂😂

This is my test boat! I said I'd go out and learn about about sailboats.. I've learned a few lessons..😊. My next sailboat I plan to apply everything I've learned. Then and only then will we do the circumnavigation. I'm starting to get it.. what to do and what not to do. It's been my honor to bring all along. I hope we all are learning something in every video.. I know I have..

@sailingEV888 That hurt me knowing that. I mean, I've literally got angry like it happened to me. I wish there was more policing on the services over here. I thought you would have gotten the best, seeing you were with the locals. You should have caught the bus with a local and sat on it until it went straight around the island. Bus fees in Nassau are $1.75. In Freeport, you could send up to $15 because of the size of the island. If you catch a number 10a, you will go out west, I live out west. All buses intersect downtown. So if you go around on 3 buses you could see the whole island. $1.75 x 3.

Dude, if it wasn't for "the people" the three dimensional proponent of society, the delusional, demented and delirious entitled 0.001 % would have everything their way. If a boat is derelict then drag it to the graveyard. You have to be able to anchor your boat anywhere in the USA as long as it not in the way. You have to be willing to fight those who are getting in the way of FREEDOM.
