If we take the average age from the point of reference, it won’t go beyond 25 years for one generation.By including Didar Karim’s son on the seventh generation, it would then get multiplied by 25, the answer will be 175 years. Quite mathematical in a sense thought little difference could be found. Keep in mind that seven generation never ever means 700 years.In one hundred years, four or five even six generations of people lived together up to nabosa and felfel nabosa.

When we take the patrilineal descendants of Grandpa Diwona Shoh, it will follow in this manner in a single line: Arbob Diwona Shoah father of Sultan Muhammad II father of Sultan Mahmud I father of Sultan Muhammad III (Arbob Puyi) father of Masnavi Khan father of Didar Karim (as this house currently belongs to him on sixth generation).

It should be noted that my great grandmother, late Arbob Zawora Begum was daughter of Arbob Diwona Shoh. If I revert back from me as a point of reference in the lineal order from my mother side, it will follow in this manner: Fazal Amin Beg son of Bibi Husni daughter of Shafo’at Begum daughter of Zawora Begum daughter of Arbob Diwona Shoh son of Hassan Ali. Grandpa Hassan Ali’s house was near his brothers house down to the Gulmit Polo Ground and it has been dismantled and reconstructed on this place, where this house of Grandpa Diwona Shoh exists. .

Keeping in view the ground realities and academic analysis in different contexts, this grand and beautiful Wakhi Pamiri house of our ancestor Arbob Diwona Shoh could be determined to be maximum two hundred years, even I doubt it could be lessened.Genuine questions may arise, how For instance, my children are on sixth generation and I am the fifth generation after Grandpa Arbob Diwona Shoh.

Dear Ali Aman Gojali, thanks for the video on and your good explaination of the Old House of late Arbob Diwon Shoh of Gulmit.I appreciate it, indeed.However, a correction I’d like to make with regard to the age of this traditional Wakhi house, which has unfortunately been exaggerated and unnecessarily promoted as 700 years. The viewers need to know that the exaggeration has not been made by the owner or family members but rather by the tourist guides outside the family and area.Being a researcher and family member myself I’ve been presenting the true picture to the tourists and the community. It is a pity that the disinformation is being passed on to the generations, local and tourist communities. It should be noted that there is no house at all in Gulmit or in the entire Hunza which has such old age Even the Baltit and Altit Fort as per se have been politically promoted to so old and no proper and effective studies have been carried out in an academic context. .
