Sometimes thats all there is. When the sharks get too thick, i get away from mullet and use shrimp and fish real close in. Thats where the sea mullet are. Also, watching you push that hook throught the scales on that mullet reminded me of the importance of keeping your hooks sharp. Them scales will dull your hook quick and dragging that hook through the sand is even worse. Get a sharpener and use it 4-5 times a day or change out your hooks. You’d be surprised the difference a sharp hook makes. Nice video brother get after em!

Get some hatteras sinkers aka Sputnik’s for the rough days when it’s hard to hold bottom. You can hold with almost half the weight.

Nice fishing man! Blues every cast. When the blues are thick I switch out the trble hooks for singles. Way easier to deal with.

@@Michael-qx8bz Not at the time we filmed this video but definitely now in the summer and early fall would recommend 40-50 lb flouro leader for those Spanish. I never really have a hard time getting cut off from bluefish.

For sure. These are my go to to catch anything from Spanish, blues, and Bonitos. Really anything that is attracted to anything shiny will go for it.

In this video we are using 8-9 ft rods with 15 pound test while using bottom rigs targeting smaller fish. We also have 12 ft rods set up throwing drum rigs that we didn’t have any luck on. These had 20 pound test with 40 pound leader.

Sometimes thats all there is. When the sharks get too thick, i get away from mullet and use shrimp and fish real close in. Thats where the sea mullet are. Also, watching you push that hook throught the scales on that mullet reminded me of the importance of keeping your hooks sharp. Them scales will dull your hook quick and dragging that hook through the sand is even worse. Get a sharpener and use it 4-5 times a day or change out your hooks.
