HydroMohsen

HydroMohsen

I'm Mohsen and I'm a water resources engineer at AECOM and a former civil engineering professor. My professional objective is to develop innovative solutions for water resources engineering and management projects by leveraging my academic and research experience.
Throughout my academic career as a professor, I was actively involved in research focused on hydrologic modeling. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, I have contributed to developing and utilizing advanced hydrologic models and tools, furthering our understanding of complex hydrologic processes. By combining my practical experience with my research expertise, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based insights that inform the creation of resilient and sustainable water management strategies.
I welcome opportunities to connect and discuss water resources engineering over a cup of coffee, both virtual or in person!

Thank You so much, Sir. This was very helpful. I have a question. How can i get the outlet shapefile of any study area I want?, Can you select outlet point manually instead of shapefile, if yes, how? And lastly, I would like to know if you would upload hydraulic modelling as well, using Hec-RAS.

Very interesting : thank you for sharing ! I am planning to build suche a "calibration" device for a DIY project. and this will be precious However, I noted a few things /question. 1-Air bubbles DON'T impact pressure reading...in fact this aparatus could operate on air pressure as well (if the piston fits accuratly enough and you allow for a little constant air inlet in the circuit (small enough that the pressure loss in the circuit can be neglected) 2- Two digit on the spread sheet is jut out of purpose : the instrument you are testing has a 10 kN/m² scale, it's not supposed to read 19... same apply to the gravity value 9.81 is WAY too accurate (it's LOWER than 9.80 in Dallas or L.A.). 3- I wonder what diameter the tube/piston is. It's not making any sense in mm nor Imperial. 244.8 mm² is not a round value either... 3- Seting up an experiment with water on a wooden bench is probably not the best idea.

Why add the tc value from roofs to the tc values on the ground? The lag curve number method should involve the whole site at once. The weighted curve number will account for whether there are roofs or pavements.

None of these films is about global warming proper, with maybe the exception of Soylent Green, which has proven wrong (NYC is not growing into a Calcutta-like slum but rather a gated city for rich only) and anyway is more a political film that should have been set more realistically in today's Gaza and where insufferable climate is actually a weapon. Don't look up instead of describing the temperatures that suddenly go into abrupt rise prefers to deflect attention to an asteroid collision as a supposed symbol. This lack of inspiration from climate change to derive catastrophe films tells that this is not the main danger awaiting humanity. Don't believe any film that talks of interstellar travel as essential for its intrigue : we are now nowhere near the mastery of any means of long-distance human travel beyond low Earth orbit, the readiation problem beyond it is not solved. Zombie apocalypse though caricaturesque on screen are nearer the reality : whole populations are transforming into zombies thanks to media.
