Miracle Farm 1927 Homestead
Hello Neighbors!
We are blessed that you have come to visit our channel. Please make yourself at home and feel free to jump right in with your questions and comments. Let us know what we can do to make your time spent here with us more enjoyable.
We have been homesteading for two decades and our vision for this channel is to be a helpful neighbor in all kinds of areas of gardening, homesteading, regenerative farming, and permaculture, no matter if you live in the country or in the city.
We want to encourage you, so we invite you to get your hands dirty the garden, or go to our 1927 kitchen and bake something yummy, fix a tractor, or milk a goat. From a small raised bed to large farms we will be learning from each other.
You are a blessing to us and Lord willing we will be to you.

hey guys, where u able to a gear for the l 3300 rear axle?
I LOVE that curvy lamp shade its pretty!
Love the sound of rain. There are so many memories to be made with kids in the garden. I found a baby frog hidden in the leafs of my corn. You can get too hot before you know it. Your garden even with the drought looks so nice too. Have a good day and happy 4th of July to your family.
I have a special glass quart jar of little toys and marbles I've found while working outside. My son was already grown when I came to live at my Gma's former home (took care of her from 99 to 103). But I like to imagine what children played with the toys and what era, depending on the toy, that it was in.
Are you growing sweet potatoes this year? I loved watching you and your family in older videos digging them up and you grew so many different kinds. Also your kitty and her babies are so sweet. Are you keeping all the kitty cat's? My daughter has a farm and her cat had about three litters and she kept them all to keep the varmints away. Cloudy here today but no rain. It's been kinda cool and chily at night. Im still have my electric blanket on at night. Just the way it is living in the Pacific Northwest hope to get some warmer weather this week. Take care, God Bless you and your family. Have a safe 4th of July.🎉
How are you dealing with the drought?

Are you getting rain?
We just started getting rain a few weeks ago in South Florida. Was very dry Spring. The mango harvests were very low in many places
@@Christopher-be1qc so glad you are getting rain now. Mangos yum.
@@miraclefarm1927 thank you. I know rain will be coming to you. Stay good. Do u enjoy growing any fruits?
we have deer problems here in santa cruz too. fencing is the best way to block them. now if i can figure out how to keep the turkeys out...
Might have to have an early Thanksgiving.
The sweet potatoes look really good. Its disappointing that all the work that goes into planting and deer just eats them up like it was for them. Can't wait for the wildflowers to bloom.
They are going to be so pretty!
Can you taste them?
Nice video farm girl

I was down in southern Virginia last fall and saw a sorghum field of a very nice looking crop. We do not grow much sorghum up here in Michigan and I tried to see if i could get a handful of seeds to try on my far. Nobody was home so I didn't get any seeds. Just want to plant a couple rows of it to see how it does up here. I hope your field goes well.
Thanks for sharing!
I was happy to watch your video “stocking up hay for the winter”! I got to see you and your wonderful father! I was blessed with the best dad in the world and I miss him so much. I’m so thankful that you recognize what a blessed life you have, and how much you are expressing your love and appreciation for your life and your family. Please give your daddy a big happy Father’s Day hug from me! When y’all get some time, I’ve still got that water container for you and some other stuff for Righteous. ❤
Oh thank you! I will do that. Blessings

My parents did the same. Spent the most time you can with them. Both of my parents are gone now and believe me it takes alot of your heart away. I was very blessed to have awesome parents

I'm looking for biomass and soil improvement, instead of rows can you broadcast seeds? Any recommendations on which sorghum seed is best for that?
Sorghum will grow anywhere and can be broadcasted. They have all kinds from juice making which gets real tall to the type they use for animal feed which is much shorter.
Do you change your schedule as the seasons change?
yes, from a summer to a winter schedule. different types of work to suit the weather.
you know more than may realize. i appreciate the content. it is fun and interesting to learn how you raise your livestock. keep on creating content and we will watch
Thank you for the encouragement!
My thumb wheel will not raise the wick? Any advise
After watching and reading on here on the burner it does say eagle.😊
Glad you found a name. If the wick is just stuck you can take off the body and use pliers to pull the wick down through the bottom of the burner or soak in warm soapy water to get the wick loose. If the thumb wheel is stripped, turns loosely without moving the wick, it is probably stripped out and you will need a new burner. They do make replacement parts for your lamp.imperiallightingco.com/product/eagle-brand-1-oil-lamp-burners-brass-plated/
Awesome footage team 👍💪🚜 thanks for showing the Massey Fergason nice to see a New Zealand type of tractor in the mix, nice pull Right, I think you have the power/ weight thing quite nice just pulling off the ground at stall put puts, 👍👍👍
Thanks friend! No problem we want to include everyone. Almost at that sweet spot.
Soooo, if you can't buy loose minerals and be regenerative, why is getting minerals from a friend okay? Am I missing something?
For one, I do purchase minerals, and feed those that I purchase. I do not however buy minerals containing pesticides (branded as fly control minerals). There are many different brands and mixes to choose from. My friend gave me minerals not containing the killer chemicals in them. So yes, instead of throwing them away I stored them and fed them as needed, adding in the garlic powder for a herbalistic fly control. This year I was really paying attention to see how well it worked. Most regular commercial farmers just go out into their cow pastures with a sprayer and stray fly control chemicals directly on their cows bodies and faces. I don't believe this type of heavy contamination is required for giving my animals some sort of relief from pests. So we are simply trying this venture.
A video on how to trim a wick would be great. Keep up the good work. 😉
You got it!
What natural fly control do you use?
Was great of Josh helping out for tractor pulling 👏 I know you both know, it never hurts to go over all earth straps remove ALL the bolts clean and copper coat, it only takes one bad one. I'm not a mechanic but I've worked in some interesting situations were there was no way for others to help 🛥🚜🛵and chasing the earth has got me home more than once. Stay safe team 🙏
We agree! Thanks 👍👍👍
I like the way you talk son
Thanks!
I also live on the very end of the power stream and we lose power for a few days at a time during bad storms. But i have a gas line running to my house. The gas never goes out. I bought a generator that connects to the gas line and it can run my house indefinitely and never need to be refilled. But for backup lighting i made my own oil lamps. I burn regular paraffin oil. I bought a bunch of 32 ounce mason jar mugs with lids and handles and used a 4 inch tall half inch pipe in the middle. Held up by spiraling wire. For the Wick i use Carbon felt. It doesn't degrade as it burns and will last for years of continuous use. They put out lots of light in a little tiny easy to carry lamp. The problem is i never get to use them because the power goes out, i turn it right back on with a switch.
Nice!
how does that even happen
The customer was stuck in a creek and pushed himself out.
You have the cutest magnolia draw. I could watch your videos all day.
Well bless your heart!
