One thing is for sure...there are only 4 quadrants...anywhere.
You divided in sectors no quadrants, and you missed a few things about the South, which in my opinion is the best sector. Fish creek runs in the south according to your divisions by the way.
Perhaps avoid the term "quadrants" and use the term "sectors" instead.
You never mentioned one of the best places in town... Lakeview in the SW.
We have 4 hospitals with many neighbourhoods near each. But if you end up working across town commute times will run you 30-45 minutes
try moving to where you can find water.....seems they have run out...cal is run by an idiot globalist lefty....try elsewhere
How can you have 8 quadrants? Quadrants is four, quad means 4… NW, NE, SW, SE.
Outside of Calgary, for the win!
8 quadrants? Math is hard?
Lived all over Canada. Moved to Calgary 25 years ago. 2 kids born here and I can say with all conviction,Calgary is a great city. The winter sun is amazing. The access to almost any kind of recreation is at your doorstep. The access to education choices is second to none. We have 2 universities,SAIT. You will meet a HUGE diversity of cultures here if you choose to. It’s a great community.
if i am a health worker a nurse where do you think best place to live in calgary close to workplace
Information is very helpful, I am a Dutch citizen and want to move there... but don't know how it could possible
Why do you want to ? You have a whole EU to explore
great content!
Due to global warming and climate change as of ten years now, we don't get these temps anymore. Winter lasts 1 to 3 weeks in January. Edmonton is oil worker country, blue-collar, Harley, rock n roll. Tough. Very progressive, modern but still violent and narrow thinking. We are, after all the murder capital of Canada, rivaled with Winnipeg. Cowboy, country, and Western are not welcome here. If you want yeehaw, go to Calgary. But you must drive, or else all the beauty of nature, the river valley, provincial parks, is pointless. But we are sprawling with the world's longest nature trail and the most trails overall. Called Ravine City, lots of cracks in the earth to explore. Before covid ruined it all, We're the Festival City, the most festivals of any city, good for residents, not a touristy place.
dont move to Calgary....the commies have turned into a woke sh*thole.
Quadrant means 4 so you should say district or section
by definition "quadrant" means 4 not 8 Calgary has 4 quadrants
Weird that he said that. He means 8 areas.
Good vid - matches my experience, except groceries. For 200 we get a full trolley at Superstore or Walmart, but barely half a trolley at Cosco. A good tip for veggies and fruit is daily fresh produce, which is easily the cheapest in the city.
I was thinking of moving to Calgary last yr, but after visiting in December, I realized the problem we are facing here in Toronto is nationwide...housing crisis, inflation, homelessness, mental health, drugs, healthcare shortage, mass immigration...at this point, its best to just leave Canada.
can take yo calgary and canada and shove it right up the frozen ..... Man many canadians are ditching the country all together to move to USA and Mexico
Hey Rob what are your thoughts on rents here in calgary being substantially cheaper than owning any type of home in our current market, Would you be interested in making a video comparison between rent and owning for any neighborhood in calgary that would be interesting to see.
What condos would you recommend in downtown with great condo management?
Moved to mahogany from Oakville and have loved every second
Auburn bay seems nice. I would say mahogany is the best community in Calgary so it being close is a plus
How about SW. Please share . Tks
Dude, lot of useful information but please fix your audio next time- too windy to hear you properly
Excellent .
Hard to beat that lake mahogany the views of the lake are out of this world. I’m from Edmonton and I’m bloody jealous lol
As with most things, it really depends on what you like individually. If you like common sense and positive people; Calgary is your city (just ignore our awful mayor). If you like negativity and wokeism, then I would highly recommend Edmonton.
Growing up in Edmonton and going there alot since I own an office there too I find the people are great but I would agree the mayor is not who I'd vote for.
Hockey 🏒 is an awesome sport
I would agree with that
Thank you for informative video. I'm planning to build a custom home. How can I find a suitable lot, and could you recommend a good builder? Thank you
It would depend on what area of Calgary you would like to be located in? Are you looking in the North or South?
I'm looking at the top 100 restaurants in Canada list and I'm really confused. Calgary has far more restaurants on there compared to Edmonton, so I have no idea why Rob gave the nod to Edmonton here.
Calgary does have more restaurants than Edmonton but I gave the nod because even though Edmonton does not have nearly as many they do have some really good ones.
@@RobVanoTeam I meant that Calgary has more top notch restaurants compared Edmonton. Just look at the top 100 in Canada list.
Much informative 👍
great vid! very informative👏
Thank you for the great feedback
Can you explore and do video on pinecreek communitiy southwest
Great Idea. I can do that. I even have a townhome listed there right now
Very useful.
Glad it was helpful!
Great work! Would love to know more about this beautiful neighbourhood
Sure. Feel free to text me your info 403-870-8704. Do you have any questions
Are there monthly rent for these places
The rents can really vary. Most start around 1800 per month
#11 Spending $300 per hour on a 'home inspector' who doesn't see a problem with a house being cracked in half.
Cracks in concrete are really common in Calgary. Many times I've brought in a foundation expert only to find out its fine.
@@RobVanoTeam Your experts are a joke.
Love the breakdown! How would you rate neweley established neighbourhoods like livingstone? Would like to get yout take on new builds and its potential please:)
Thank you. Livingstone is one of the most sought-after communities in Calgary. I can provide you some really good info on New Builds I've been involved in many. Feel free to reach out on my website. www.robvanoteam.ca
Great video! Thanks ❤
You are so welcome!
How about Kensington? I was told it’s very trendy and rich in culture.
Kensington is rich in culture. West Hillhurst and Hillhurst bring in alot of people wanting access to the downtown and the vibe of Kensington BLVD. Interestingly though many people are younger with families. Its a really good area to own real estate.
When I lived in Calgary around ten years ago, unexpected costs came from traffic tickets. The police is much stricter than the other provinces where I lived afterwards. Even when you think you're driving ok.
I would agree with you.
100 square feet??? Whi would live in a place like that??
Yes a little small.
What are your top 3 favourite neighbourhoods for single family detached homes in 650-750 price range ?
I would say Silversprings, Livingston, and Auburn Bay
Not sure if you were just speaking in general at the beginning, but the townhomes in Alpine Park start in the $570k's (inside unit) and $620ks (outside units). There is nothing here anywhere near $400K
Yes speaking in general for townhomes. The demand in Alpine Park has become super high. Its a upscale community. I have one in creekside for 530K
Awesome video, well said.
Thank you
I have been living in Toronto almost one year and Ontario is real hard to get a good job and get a cheap apartment. Alberta more affordability than Ontario. Alberta has got beautiful nature
Thanks for the comment. You are so right, we have a much more affordable homes here and we have jobs. calgary is a really good city to live in
@@RobVanoTeam Toronto has more homeless people than Calgary
8:03 *Ottawa
Do condos have cooling system or only warming thermostat?
Some condos do have air conditioning. There are many in Calgary that have air in the common areas only.
