  Thank you, for the video. I set up two planes to test tomorrow with AS3X+. The first one I couldn’t get the safe setup. Watched your video and I ended up having to restore the receiver again in forward programming and then I could get the correct menus to setup safe. Thanks

  Very helpful video in helping me get mine assembled, thank you! Instructions are horrible, but the plane is so damn awesome. 35 lights on this thing! Scored it on Banggood last week during a flash sale for $89.68 with shipping and taxes, how do you say no? I'm a huge fan of the 400mm Eachine Warbirds and have all 15 of them, so this 560mm RTF Warbird was a no brainer. It arrived today, it's assembled and everything works perfectly. So impressed with the 280's size, quality, detail and features at such a crazy low price. And the included controller is nicer than I was expecting.

  Thanks. To be honest, that’s what a bind and fly was meant to do! The only reason I could even see doing a manual set up. ai if you wanted a specific knob , switch to do as far as the personal set up . Which brings me to the question . The set up you just made . Can you still edit the settings ? Like moving the throttle cut to another switch . Or altering the any other choice

  @phillipjensen4362 YES you have full capabilities as with any other set up u just get the call outs, servos reversed (if needed),safe and AS3X on a switch, Flaps and retracts, and Rates n Expo done for you, everything else is the same as the manual set up

  Had a wing come off once.. I used the wrong glue to put the wind together. And I was pulling too many G 's. Wing came down soft as a feather.... fuselage came down like a meteor and exploded on impact. I'll never use CA instead of epoxy again.

  @johnb9825 it looked cool and the Fuse wasn't too bad the new owner put it back together if I had it to do over again, I would definitely double epoxy. A couple of braces on the sides of the wing support, because it screws in with one screw on that bird.

  X-plus only works with the xplus module or 20 channel receivers according to the manual. Download the nx10+ manual to see the changes

  @malatoke When I accessed it in the video I did not have a receiver initiated at all, of course, to get it to actually work, you will need a twenty channel receiver in that case. But I didn't have a need for it at that moment. I just wanted to test it.

  @Pooley929 yeah, what I mean is those channels apparently won't work with the receiver unless it's x-plus compatible through a module or the 20 channel receiver. I think the first 14 channels will work for things like gyro functions etc even on something like an ar630 but beyond that as I understand it those channels won't work with the receiver unless it's compatible

  @malatoke gotcha, that makes sense. You can see the channels pop-up, but in order to use them, you need that x. Plus expansion or a true, larger channel receiver.

  @@Pooley929 . Not yet. I'm a truck driver and don't get home till Friday Im on the road Monday through Thursday. I plan to do it soon as I get home. I know some people are afraid cause the stories that sometimes the updates lock up the transmitter and has to be sent back to be fixed. My first Spektrum transmitter was NX8 and the first time I did update it locked up. But none since then have given me problems. I think it was something I did but they fixed it quick

  @@notoo7 exact same thing happened with me I brought that f-18 out there but the wind was whipping so bad I had UMX A5 and it was literally full throttle and not even moving The gusts were crazy so I decided to not fly it even though I was so anxious to try it

  @@janrc I never connect to the Wi-Fi so that cannot be an issue if you leave the Wi-Fi turned on in your radio it drains too much of your battery life I keep that off 99% of the time unless Im doing it and update

  Thanks for the info, ordered the p51d and the Kenson dsmx satellite, never flew it on the rtf radio and on the DX9 it flys perfect never had to trim it awesome 450mm warplane.

  @@leftturnfly that's why I gave you the exact recipe for it to work there's plenty of other receivers that will work but that's the what I used so it works great cuz it's so lightweight probably the smallest one I've ever seen, You could even use the satellites that are on most spectrum old school receivers just bind it to the receiver itself and then connected to the bird afterwards that works I've done that on other birds

  @@waynemiller6070 I suffered so much when I first began into this hobby all the air side because no one who was doing videos cover things the way I'm doing it I want you to exactly see what I'm doing. I don't want to hold the radio out to the left or to the right so you can barely see the screen I want you to know what I'm doing if I can figure it out myself I'm no expert but I'm getting it done. Im Just a guy who knows a few things

  You also need to activate your reciever for as3x and extra chanels.

  @@Reptielenfreak I don't see why that would be a necessity because some receivers don't have AS3X but they are 14 to 20 channels and you could upgrade to those without any AS3X at all, haven't had a chance to investigate it but I'm sure it's in the radio somewhere it can't be based on the receiver as long as it's more than the 10 channel you have on an NX10, I dug into the nose wheel gyro today I will try to figure out the 20 channel expansion tomorrow perhaps if you figure it out though drop me a comment

  @@Pooley929 i didnt know it before but a guy at the RCflyclub showed me. Go to system settings, frame rate and you will see the inh om support for as3x+ etc and then the extra channels will appear

  @rafaeltorres2886 i have not tried to do so, and obviously, if you watch the entire video, you have recognized that we don't currently have the factory power plant, we actually upgraded now (0 support from HK), but what I would say by the amount of power it does have on 4S you could probably fly it on 3S, with no issues because on 4S it was cookin!! But know that the recommended battery is a 4S, but who cares? Because you can't count on them for any support anyway.

  4X sensitivity would be high for most EDF. I currently use 1x for EDF and 2x for props. Curious how well the steering gyro works.

  @notoo7 Hey I prefer to use the 4X because I have it on the knob and you can dial it down from 0 to whatever and it is way easier to see when you whip that knob to full and just check your AS3X prior to a flight, whereas if you put it on 1X it barely moves and you can barely see it? That's the only reason I hardly ever turn it up past a quarter of the way, which is probably about 1X l o l On the steering gyro, I'm curious about it myself. I'll have to figure out what airplanes I have. That I can even try it on as I'm not a real big tricycle wheel person, but on my EDF's that are extremely hard to take off. That may be the perfect, precise location, for it. As soon as I can get some time away from work, i'm gonna try that out

  I'm not sure what the phobia is, but sometimes unless people can see it done. They are afraid of it or they r stand offish at best? And they just don't do the updates hell. 90% of my club, maybe 95% have never updated ever!!

  I tried something different. I put a line of hot glue in the rudder hinge joint , then wiped the overage out . I let it dry and tried it. Looks like it made a nice clear flexible hinge. It seems to be working.

  Oh yeah and just wanted anyone who didn't know that this is a scale version of a real cool airplane. Check it out. This particular model has been discontinued for a while and there was a larger version. Hard to find.

  @@tomcat-rc funny you would comment about this plane when I just literally landed well 15 or 20 landings come to find out I wish I could have included this on the video but you can do touch and goes on grass with it it doesn't take off in my grass cuz it's too high but if you come in with enough speed touch it down slide on the grass you can go right back up it's pretty fun I didn't think I was going to like this but I find it myself putting battery after battery into it the wingspan is 24 1/4"

  I was surprised you flew it with the crack where the hold down screw goes through. Right then I knew it would not end well. A lot of that "twitchiness" you discribed was the wing moving, or more correctly, the fuselage moving when any elevator was applied. At one point that screw got a high enough g force put on it, and it doesn't take much, that it just pulled right through. My guess is that the screw was still attached to the wing when you picked up the pieces. And ya, those Alfa's are really nice planes.

  @@spring4522 Exactly, it was reinforced with a strip of basswood from the underside but not enough lol well it ripped out the wood from the flat spot where it was epoxyed

  Any guess on what the D/R button on the transmitter does? I can't find any info in the "instruction" manual.

  @@coloradofotomatt it's the dual rate if you press it it'll be once if you press it again it'll be twice when it goes to beeping twice that gives you the second rate which is definitely necessary for that thing it flies terrible in the first rate turns like a tank once you engage that second rate it actually flies much better and you can have fun with it

  @@Pooley929 Got that figured out last night! Finally had time to power up the '51, step through all the buttons and watch differences in control surface reactions. That was actually helpful to do it. I'm expecting an NX8 next week and hoping to bind to it eliminating the need for this TX.

  @@coloradofotomattNote: you will need a remote receiver to do so, it will find directly to open TX models but for Spectrum you will need a remote receiver to do the procedure look at my video closely

  @@coloradofotomatt There is an SBUS port that you plug a spektrum receiver in. I did this with an FrSky receiver and it worked but there are different channels used. For example, I believe channel 5 is for flight mode (6G, manual, 3D)

  I meant to tell you. I crashed mine again . Ailoron servo locked up on me at a full bank. Well i had to order the whole new wings peice. So the new ones are so smooth you cant even tell it's foam. You cant even see that popcorn look under the paint. Its funny cause it kibd of do t match cause the eings ae so smooth and perfect. They look real nice though. It must be a new way Eflite is molding the parts. I know someone who bought the new 70mm f16. He said the same. The foam on it is so perfect smooth too.

  @@dradden1556 wow Mine also crashed a buddy was flying and just had a mishap put it back together already and flew, just haven't posted the video but that video will cover how to repair a retract when the wires are ripped out that should be a good one as well as when the hinges ripped completely off installing two types of replacement hinge the flat ones and the pointy ones Haven't seen that new texture you're speaking about but can't wait that should be cool I have been eyeing the new F-16 at the local shop he randomly got one in which I thought was a weird move probably be on my skill level at this point unless I just want to waste money beating a plane up Plus in the F-16 which I have seen around my field have been notoriously too fast to land and I don't want to deal with that

  I got one with short linkage for rudders as well. Also interesting are the hinges on the wings. They used to be just glued on.

  Alfa models are some of the absolute best looking/flying small scale models out there, and have been for a long time! Are they for everybody? Don't think so, but they are fantastic when you handle/fly them correctly!

  @@dradden1556 funny thing is when I read the comment I did laugh, I actually looked this thing up as I had never heard of it prior to getting it and I saw the real version it's actually a very cool thing people park this at their yacht remove the wings for travel like this is actually a small little cool thing that people buy who are rich enough that is, in the RC spectrum though you're correct I'm not really into this type thing but it was fun

  Why did you delete my comment You where flying a broken plane You over tightened the plastic nut, and broke the mounting plate in the fuselage. What do you think would happen, I own several Alfamodels and they're still available.
