Installed the same JBL speakers, JBL GTO 620, into my 2019 Sport. The original ones, made of super cheap paper, stopped working. Mazda is foolishly installing junk into their cars to save a couple of dollars. Video was very helpful for disassembly of the door panel. On removing the old speakers, saw that they were 4 Ohm, whereas the 620s are 2.5 Ohm. That is not ideal, I should have done some research before buying the 620s. On assy, note that the white wire should be plug into the negative terminal - speakers worked with reverse polarity however prevented the other speakers from working, which I only found out after completing the assy of both speakers. Also, on my car the speakers had to be installed in a certain orientation in order to work reliably and that had nothing to do with the harness. Finally, I couldn't get the door panels to snap back on - I later saw the advice from one of the commenters to first insert the plastic rivets into the panel. Thanks.
@Willppyro Жыл бұрын
Lol for anyone who get the door back on. It’s because the white plastic rivits are stuck in the door still. You need to pop them back out and put them back in the interior panel. Then just line up the panel and it will pop right back on easy you’ll see where they go. Once you do it once you’ll see and it’s really easy. I was sweating trying to clip the interior panel to the plastic rivits when the were still stuck in the door frame lol just take them out one by one and put them back in your interior panel

Excellent video and recommendation on replacement speakers. I replaced my factory Bose speakers (horrific, paper, garbage) with JBL Stadium 62F model ($219.99 at the time of this writing), and I can truly state this is a WORLD away from stock. Every aspect of this replacement is an upgrade. I do recommend selecting the -3db adjustment on the tweeter as it "outshines" the pillar tweeters to a great extent. Leaving them at the initial 0db setting is fine, but you'll hear more of the upper frequencies from these speakers than you may desire if you want your highs to emanate more from the stock tweeters.
